Dyson Unveils All-New Modular OnTrac Wireless Headphones

These $500 noise-canceling headphones come with replaceable ear cushions and outer caps.

Dyson has launched its newest super-customizable wireless headphones pair – the Dyson OnTrac. The OnTrac headphones come with replaceable ear cushions and ear cups, which let you completely switch headphones style up to 2000 combinations through all the various colorways. This is a unique thing Dyson offers with its latest headphones and quite different from mainstream headphones which usually come in the same and boring Black, White, and Gray color options.

Dyson has incorporated best-in-class active noise cancellation tech into the OnTrac headphones that sample sounds 384,000 times per second and filter out unwanted noise up to 40dB with the help of eight sound-sampling microphones. You get support for all the standard audio codecs including SBC, AAC, and LDAC. Unfortunately, there is no support for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound codec.

The OnTrac boasts 40mm, 60-ohm neodymium sound drivers combined with Dyson’s advanced audio signal processing algorithm, ensuring every vocal, note, and word is delivered precisely. The headphones offer enhanced sound coverage ranging from as low as 6Hz to as high as 21kHz. Each earpad is made of ultra-soft microfiber material and high-grade foam, offering a super comfortable all-day fit without any issues.

Dyson’s new highly customizable headphones boast two lithium-ion batteries, each rated at 2,540mAh. Dyson claims that the headphones easily last up to 55 hours with ANC on a single charge, which is similar to its immediate rivals Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless and Cambridge Audio Melomania P100.

Dyson’s new OnTrac noise-canceling wireless headphones are priced at $499.99 / £499 and will be available directly from Dyson’s official website from August 1st onwards. The OnTrac headphones come in four different color options with unique and durable finishes including CNC Aluminium, Nickel, and Copper.
