AULUMU’s New Sling Bags Put Your Phone Right Where You Can Grab It in One Hand

AULUMU’s New Sling Bags Put Your Phone Right Where You Can Grab It in One Hand

AULUMU is expanding its Urban Gear Series with two new sling bags designed around fast phone access, modular storage, and technical materials.

AULUMU is adding two new products to its growing Urban Gear Series, introducing the B01 Urban Transit Gear Sling Bag and B02 Urban Quick-Access Phone Sling Bag for consumers who want easier access to their everyday essentials without carrying a traditional backpack or larger shoulder bag.

Announced on September 29, 2026, the new bags extend AULUMU’s magnetic accessory ecosystem into a more mobile, everyday-carry format. Both models combine technical X-Pac fabric, Fidlock magnetic hardware, YKK zippers and a detachable magnetic phone compartment designed to keep a smartphone readily accessible.

The company is positioning the two bags for urban commuters, travelers and everyday-carry enthusiasts who want quick access to frequently used items while maintaining a distinctive, equipment-inspired look.

B01 focuses on everyday urban carry

The larger B01 Urban Transit Gear Sling Bag is designed for commuting, city travel and longer outings where users need more storage than a minimalist phone sling can provide.

Its standout feature is AULUMU’s Detachable Magnetic Metal Compartment, which places the phone on the outside of the bag instead of requiring users to repeatedly open the main compartment.

The idea is straightforward: reach for the phone, use it and snap it back into position with one hand.

That approach could be particularly useful for commuters and travelers who frequently check maps, messages, tickets or other information while moving around a city.

The B01 offers an expandable capacity of approximately 2.5 to 3.5 liters, giving it room for gadgets, cards, keys, power banks and other everyday necessities.

Inside, multiple compartments provide additional organization, while an adjustable shoulder strap allows the bag to be worn in different crossbody positions.

Technical materials meet everyday durability

AULUMU is using X-Pac functional fabric for the B01. The material is described as lightweight, waterproof and wear-resistant, giving the bag a technical construction suited to daily outdoor use.

The design also incorporates a Fidlock magnetic buckle, which combines magnetic guidance with mechanical locking. YKK zippers are used throughout for everyday access.

Visually, AULUMU has leaned into an industrial aesthetic, with exposed hardware and technical materials giving the B01 an appearance closer to specialized equipment than a conventional fashion-oriented sling.

B01 key features

  • Detachable Magnetic Metal Compartment for external phone access
  • One-handed phone grab, use and snap-back functionality
  • Compatibility with AULUMU’s magnetic ecosystem
  • Lightweight, waterproof and wear-resistant X-Pac fabric
  • Fidlock magnetic buckle with mechanical locking
  • Expandable 2.5- to 3.5-liter capacity
  • Multiple interior storage compartments
  • Adjustable shoulder strap
  • YKK zippers
  • Technical, equipment-inspired styling

The B01 is priced at $145 on AULUMU’s official website and Amazon US, while the Amazon UK price is listed at £125.76.

B02 takes the same idea and makes it smaller

For shoppers who want something considerably lighter, AULUMU has introduced the B02 Urban Quick-Access Phone Sling Bag.

The B02 is built around a much smaller approximately 0.3-liter capacity, making it primarily an essentials carrier rather than a general-purpose storage bag.

Its external magnetic phone compartment uses the same basic concept found on the B01. The phone remains accessible from outside the bag, allowing users to grab it without opening a zipper or searching through an internal compartment.

AULUMU sees the B02 fitting naturally into situations such as concerts, shopping trips, city walks, travel and commuting, particularly when carrying a larger bag would be unnecessary.

A minimalist alternative to larger bags

The B02 is designed to accommodate essentials such as a smartphone, passport, cards and other small items.

Like its larger sibling, it uses X-Pac technical fabric, a Fidlock magnetic buckle and YKK zippers. The adjustable shoulder strap allows it to be worn across the body, while its compact dimensions are intended to keep the carry experience lightweight.

The bag also joins AULUMU’s broader magnetic ecosystem. According to the company, the B02 can work with accessories including the G09 Infinite Rotation Magnetic Stand and other compatible magnetic setups.

B02 key features

  • Detachable Magnetic Metal Compartment
  • Quick-access phone design
  • One-handed grab-and-return functionality
  • Compatibility with AULUMU’s magnetic ecosystem
  • X-Pac technical fabric
  • Fidlock magnetic buckle
  • Approximately 0.3-liter capacity
  • Adjustable shoulder strap
  • YKK zippers
  • Designed for lightweight urban carry
  • Industrial-inspired minimalist styling

The B02 is priced at $89 on AULUMU’s official website, with a listed UK price of £83.78. The company says Amazon availability in the U.S. and U.K. is expected by the end of October.

AULUMU is building more than individual bags

The more interesting part of these launches isn’t necessarily the bags themselves. It’s the ecosystem strategy behind them.

Rather than treating a sling bag as nothing more than a container with straps, AULUMU is attempting to turn its magnetic attachment system into part of the product experience.

That distinction matters because consumers increasingly carry multiple devices and accessories throughout the day. A bag that can interact with compatible accessories could potentially become more useful over time, particularly for people who already own other products within the company’s ecosystem.

The B01 takes that concept further by combining the magnetic phone compartment with expandable storage. The B02, meanwhile, strips the idea down to its essentials.

The B01 and B02 take different approaches to the same problem

Although the two bags share much of the same design language and magnetic technology, they are aimed at different carrying habits.

The B01 is the more versatile option on paper. Its larger capacity provides space for a broader collection of everyday items, making it better suited to commuting, travel and longer outings.

The B02 is much more focused. Its compact capacity is designed around the phone and a handful of essentials, making it more appropriate for situations where minimalism is the priority.

In other words, the B01 is closer to a small everyday-carry bag, while the B02 is essentially a lightweight access solution with enough room for a few necessities.

Price and availability

The AULUMU B01 Urban Transit Gear Sling Bag is available for $145 through AULUMU’s official website and Amazon US, with an Amazon UK price of £125.76.

The AULUMU B02 Urban Quick-Access Phone Sling Bag is available through AULUMU’s official website for $89, or £83.78 in the U.K. The company expects the B02 to arrive on Amazon US and Amazon UK by the end of October.
