AT&T announced the Pantech Flex for September 16th at $49.99 with a two-year service agreement. The first AT&T smartphone with an “Easy Experience” mode, it offered a simplified home screen with apps organized in a clearly readable format for users new to smartphones, switchable at any time to standard Android.
Key specs: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 4.3-inch qHD (960×540) Super AMOLED display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p HD video, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 4G LTE, and Pantech SwiftKey keyboard with adaptive word prediction. At only 4.6 oz with a slim profile, a solid-spec device at a very attractive price point.
