Best of Mobile World Congress 2025

Mobile World Congress is where the latest advancements in mobile technology, connectivity, and smart devices take center stage. Whereas CES casts a wide net for all things electronic, MWC tightens the aperture to focus on the mobile industry.

This year, the event was packed with bold innovations that push boundaries in smartphone design, tons of AI-powered accessories, and next-gen wireless experiences. With a strong focus on high-performance devices and ever-smarter technology, MWC 2025 delivered products that redefine what’s possible in mobility. If you want to know how tomorrow’s mobile experience looks, look no further than the Barcelona trade show.

From flagship smartphones with cutting-edge cameras to AI-driven tech and everything in between, this year’s highlights demonstrate how brands are innovating their way into the future. Here’s a look at the most exciting devices from MWC 2025 that you’ll want to keep on your radar.

TECNO Spark Slim

The TECNO Spark Slim redefines ultrathin smartphones with a remarkably slim 5.75mm profile—thinner than the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge—while packing a 5,200mAh battery to shatter the usual compromises on battery life. A 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate delivers smooth visuals, while the 50MP dual rear cameras and 13MP front camera offer solid imaging capabilities. As the race for ultrathin devices heats up, TECNO’s latest entry proves that thin doesn’t have to mean underpowered.

TECNO CAMON 40 Premier 5G

TECNO’s CAMON 40 Premier 5G pushes mobile photography forward with AI-powered FlashSnap technology, delivering instant, sharp captures with advanced motion tracking. A 50MP Sony Ultra Night Camera collects over 56% more light, ensuring clarity in low-light settings, while a periscope telephoto lens and ultra-wide camera round out a versatile imaging system.

Beyond photography, AI-driven features enhance daily interactions, from real-time call translation to intelligent photo editing tools. With IP68 durability, a bright AMOLED display, and 70W ultra-fast charging, the CAMON 40 Premier is a feature-packed smartphone built for creatives and power users alike.

TCL RayNeo Air 3s

The TCL RayNeo Air 3S refines lightweight XR glasses with improved brightness, contrast, and clarity while lowering the price compared to its predecessor. A pair of Sony micro-OLED panels with HueView technology delivers a 201-inch virtual display, 200,000:1 contrast ratio, and a brighter 650-nit experience. The expanded 47-degree field of view and reduced border blur enhance immersion, while support for 60Hz and 120Hz refresh rates at Full HD resolution ensures smooth visuals. At just 76 grams, they remain comfortable for extended use, and USB-C DisplayPort and HDMI compatibility make them versatile for a wide range of devices.

TCL 60 SE NXTPAPER 5G

The TCL 60 SE NXTPAPER 5G brings eye-friendly display technology to the mid-range smartphone market, integrating hardware-level blue light filtering and anti-glare features for a more comfortable viewing experience. Designed for extended reading and content consumption, it enhances productivity with AI-driven tools while offering 5G connectivity for fast and seamless performance. With long battery life and a focus on durability, this device is a practical choice for users who prioritize both screen comfort and everyday usability.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra

Xiaomi’s latest flagship takes mobile photography to new heights with a 200MP periscope sensor designed for stunning portraits, crisp zoom shots, and low-light clarity. A refined camera array with a durable, glare-reducing lens cover enhances every shot.

The 6.7-inch AMOLED display delivers 3,200 nits of brightness, while 90W wired and 80W wireless charging keeps you powered up quickly. Xiaomi’s HyperOS brings smoother animations and AI-driven enhancements, including Gemini integration, making this an Android powerhouse built for performance and creativity.

Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro

Xiaomi’s Buds 5 Pro break new ground by leveraging Qualcomm’s S7 Pro chip to enable Wi-Fi audio streaming instead of traditional Bluetooth. This unlocks 96kHz, 24-bit lossless playback while maintaining power efficiency comparable to Bluetooth pairing. With Wi-Fi connectivity, these earbuds maintain stable audio even across multiple rooms or floors, redefining wireless listening. Xiaomi’s latest innovation proves that better sound quality doesn’t have to come at the cost of battery life or connection stability.

HONOR Pad V9

The HONOR Pad V9 delivers strong performance and all-day battery life at an appealing price. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Elite, it handles work and gaming with ease, while its 10,100mAh battery outlasts recent iPad models in real-world use.

A standout feature is its AI-driven eye-protection technology, which intelligently defocuses parts of the screen you’re not looking at to reduce eye strain—an innovation reminiscent of eye-tracking in XR headsets. For around $500, it’s a compelling choice for productivity, entertainment, and eye comfort.

HONOR Magic 7 Pro

The HONOR Magic7 Pro blends powerful performance, advanced AI features, and a refined design into a flagship that stands out. Despite its 6.8-inch display, the quad micro-curved design and ultra-thin bezels make it surprisingly comfortable to hold.

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, up to 16GB RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage ensure top-tier speed, while a 5,270mAh (or 5,850mAh) battery supports 100W wired and 80W wireless charging for rapid refueling. AI-driven 3D facial scanning, MagicOS 9 enhancements, and a versatile triple-camera system round out a device that delivers flagship-level power with thoughtful refinements.

HMD Amped Buds

HMD brings a clever twist to earbud cases with the Amped Buds, featuring a MagSafe-style charging case that doubles as a 1,600mAh wireless power bank. This means your earbud case can top up your phone in a pinch while staying compact enough for everyday use. It’s a smart, practical innovation that turns a necessity into a backup power solution—something more earbuds should consider.

Samsung Galaxy A56

Samsung’s Galaxy A56 raises the bar for mid-range smartphones, packing flagship-level features at under $500. It’s among the first A-series devices to include Galaxy AI tools, alongside a bright AMOLED display, 50MP camera, and fast wired charging. Performance feels snappy, network support is solid, and battery life should easily last the day. With six years of software support and Circle to Search, Samsung delivers a phone that’s built to last and designed to impress.

Realme Ultra Phone Concept

Realme’s Ultra Concept reimagines smartphone photography by introducing a physical camera mounting system for Leica M-Mount lenses. This design transforms a smartphone into a full-fledged camera, allowing users to swap lenses just like on a traditional mirrorless system.

The prototype showcased at MWC 2025 featured 73mm and 234mm lenses with manual focus and aperture controls, offering an experience closer to a professional camera. Backing this up are three one-inch sensors, including one dedicated to the interchangeable lenses. While carrying extra glass adds weight, this concept pushes mobile photography into new territory—blurring the line between smartphones and dedicated cameras.

The Future of Mobile is Here

MWC 2025, like every year showcased the best of what’s next in mobile and smart technology. From AI-enhanced smartphones to powerful wearables and groundbreaking concepts, the event underscored the industry’s push toward faster, more connected, and smarter devices.
