Both variants come in an Off-White and Dark Gray color options. With super competitive pricing, UGREEN’s latest wireless power bank gives tough competition to the likes of Sharge and Anker’s power bank.

Design and Build 

Starting with the design, UGREEN’s Magnetic power bank is made out of a hard plastic build that feels sturdy, lightweight, and can easily withstand normal drops. For the first time, UGREEN uses a new Off-White aesthetic for its magnetic power bank, along with its usual dark grey aesthetic found across UGREEN’s portfolio, including power banks, chargers, cables, docks, and power stations. The shiny hard plastic strip finished in a light gray shade is bordered around the outside of the power bank, adding extra protection.

With dimensions of 4.2 x 2.7 x 0.7 inches and a weight of 220 grams (7.8oz), the Magnetic power bank is extremely portable, allowing one to easily carry it in a sizable pocket or bag without any issues.

You get a non-slip Silicon material coating on top of the magnetic power bank, which feels quite premium without the premium price tag. The non-slip silicon material won’t let your non-magnetic devices, such as earbuds and watches, slip by offering a solid grip during charging. The power bank has a USB C port, a power button on the bottom, and the UGREEN logo on the top side. A row of LED indicators at the bottom showcases the battery levels on the power bank, and a magnetic charging indicator placed just left of the battery indicators glows when devices are charging wirelessly.

Overall, I really like the simple yet eye-catching design of UGREEN’s Magnetic power bank. You get premium materials and a solid build at an affordable price point. What I’m missing is the built-in kickstand, which is lacking. However, UGREEN offers the same power bank with a dedicated built-in kickstand and the ability to charge up to three devices at once. Of course, that one costs $20 more than this one.

Performance 

The UGREEN Magnetic Wireless power bank boasts a massive 10,000mAh battery capacity under its shell. It features a powerful 10N magnet that securely attaches to the back of the phone and doesn’t dislodge until you apply a decent amount of force. With a maximum 15W wireless charging output, it is compatible with flagship wireless charging supported phones such as the Google Pixel 8 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and iPhone 13, 14, and 15 series.

In my testing, I used the Magnetic power bank with my wireless charging supported earbuds, the Tranya Nova Lite, and the iQOO 12 smartphone. The UGREEN Magnetic power bank has twice the battery capacity of my phone, easily recharging my phone to full capacity around one and a half times. For Android phones, I would suggest using a good-quality magnetic case since the power bank does not attach securely to the phone’s back.

With the Magnetic power bank, I can effortlessly charge my earbuds wirelessly with up to 15W of output, and my smartphone via the USB C port with 20W of power, simultaneously. This is the versatility the Magnetic power bank offers, allowing you to charge your phone and other accessories such as earbuds or watches on the go. It also has a trickle-charging mode which disables the minimum current limit, allowing small devices such as earbuds and watches to charge normally.

To switch to the trickle charging mode, you just have to hold the power button for three seconds, and to exit, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds, or you can wait for 3.5 hours, after which it will automatically switch to normal mode.

The 10,000mAh power bank charges via a USB C port with up to 20W of power over the USB PD 3.0 protocol. It takes around 2 hours and 20 minutes to fully charge. UGREEN also incorporated some important safety features into the power bank, including overload protection, short circuit protection, overcurrent protection, overheating protection, overvoltage protection, and high-temperature protection.

Wireless speakers are a great way to add a bit of ambiance to any situation. Whether it’s upbeat tunes for a party or listening to a conference call, these are tools to have audio readily available. Tronsmart has been in this segment for several years now, and its latest offering, the Mirtune C2 wireless speaker may be small in size, but it produces a deceptively large presence.

Design

The basic cylinder look and feel isn’t groundbreaking, but it gets the job done. The industrial design of the Mirtune C2 is a mix of plastics and weather-treated fabrics. Around the front of the speaker, you have soft-touch rubber controls that are raised from the rest of the unit. This makes it easy to find and offers a great tactile click when pressing the options.

Each end of the Mirtune C2 houses small subwoofers and an LED light ring. The subs offer a punch of bass while the LEDs add a bit more flare to a room when playing audio. Internally, you get Bluetooth 5.4 and a battery pack capable of 24 hours of playback at around 50 percent volume.

Lastly, the Mirtune C2 is rate for full IPX7 water and dust resistance. This won’t make the speader fully submersible, but should make it hold up in most outdoor situations including a slight rain. Carrying the Mirtune C2 into almost any environment is possible.

Sound

I really like the sound of the Mirtune C2 for a compact-sized speaker. The mids and highs do a good job of staying clear even at loud volumes. Music and podcasts come through with a crisp listening experience. The bass is surprising as well. It’s not going to ever compete with the larger sibling from Tronsmart, but for the size and portable nature of the Mirtune C2, you get enough punch to fill a space with robust sound.

I’m also happy to see the LEDs and included controls on the outside of the Mirtune C2. The LEDs play along nicely with your playlists with a full spectrum of colors. The controls make for an easy way to manipulate playback when your connected device might not be readily within arms-length. It’s a little thing you see on most devices, but worth a mention either way.

Battery Life

As mentioned in the previous section, Tronsmart rates the maximum hours of usage at 24 hours for the Mirtune C2. The caveat is that this metric is while using the speaker at around 50 percent volume. I’ve found this to be fairly accurate. It’s hard to tell exactly where your volume output percentage is on some devices, but I completely a full work week of 8-hour days on a single charge with the Mirtune C2.

With my intermittent playback, I’d say the 24 hours is definitely achievable. You’d have to be throwing one hell of a party to need 24 hours of uninterrupted audio, but you can definitely make it happen in my eyes. When you need to top off the power banks, you can recharge with the included USB-C charging cable at 5 Volts.

Final Thoughts

Tronsmart is constantly challenging the balance of pricing versus quality of its wireless speaker lineup. The Mirtune C2, at just under $40, is a great option for those looking for satisfactory audio playback outdoors. The long battery life, decent sound, and LED lighting make it a perfect companion speaker around the pool or campsite.

Cambridge announces the first over-ear headphones with a massive 60-hour battery life

Cambridge has launched its first over-ear headphones – the Melomania P100. The company’s latest premium P100 headphones feature hi-fi grade class AB amplification, and premium sound drivers to deliver truly emotive sound with clear crystal clear vocals and deep bass. 

The headphones join the recently launched Melomania M100 true wireless earphones to form the new Melomania lineup. It features a massive 60-hour battery life with ANC on and up to 100 hours with ANC off, making it one of the longest-lasting headphones on the market. It also has fast charging support and offers two hours of playback with ANC on and 4 hours without ANC from a five-minute charge. 

In terms of design, you get memory foam earpads covered in premium faux leather, offering an ultra-comfortable fit with ideal clamping force to suit the largest variety of head sizes. The headphones are made up of 50% recycled plastic, and the packaging is 100% recyclable plastic-free.
