Xiaomi introduced its latest flagship smartphones today in Munich, unveiling the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro as part of the new 15T Series. The devices bring upgraded Leica cameras, advanced connectivity features, and a refined design to the company’s T-line refresh. The company also introduced the Redmi Pad 2 Pro Series at the same event.
Photography with a Leica Touch
Cameras are once again at the center of Xiaomi’s flagship ambitions. Both the 15T and 15T Pro sport triple camera systems co-engineered with Leica. The standard 15T combines main, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses, while the Pro version ups the ante with a Leica 5x Pro telephoto lens capable of 5x optical zoom and up to 20x Ultra Zoom.
At the core sits a 50MP Leica Summilux main lens, opening to Æ’/1.7 on the 15T and Æ’/1.62 on the Pro. The 15T Pro further benefits from a Light Fusion 900 image sensor that boasts a wide 13.5 EV dynamic range for detailed low-light and high-contrast shooting. Focal lengths span from ultra-wide 15mm shots up to 230mm telephoto zoom on the Pro, giving users the freedom to frame everything from wide vistas to distant subjects.

Xiaomi has also upgraded its computational photography engine with AISP 2.0, improving portrait rendering, color fidelity, and depth perception. New portrait effects such as Wide and Bubbles bokeh add a bit of fun, while Leica’s street photography mode lets users quickly snap with iconic focal lengths right from the lock screen. For video, both models support 4K HDR10+ recording, with the Pro stepping into pro-level territory with 4K 120fps capture and 10-bit Log recording for serious editing workflows.
A New Take on Connectivity
Perhaps the most surprising addition is Xiaomi Astral Communication, debuting on the 15T Series. This suite introduces Offline Communication, allowing direct device-to-device voice calls without cellular or Wi-Fi. Ranges extend up to 1.9 km for the 15T Pro and 1.3 km for the 15T—potentially useful for outdoor explorers in remote locations.
Other elements in Astral Communication include adaptive antenna switching, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular tuning for better stability, backed by the company’s Super Antenna Array. On the software side, the phones will launch with Xiaomi HyperOS 3, bringing a refreshed interface, faster app launches, improved multitasking, and deeper integration with other Xiaomi devices.
Big, Bright Displays
The 15T Series features Xiaomi’s largest smartphone display yet at 6.83 inches. Brightness peaks at 3,200 nits, keeping content visible even under direct sunlight. Resolution lands at 1.5K, paired with smooth refresh rates—up to 120Hz on the 15T and up to 144Hz on the 15T Pro.

The Pro also shrinks bezels to 1.5mm on all sides using LIPO technology, giving the device a more immersive, edge-to-edge feel. Both phones add eye-care features such as DC dimming and high-frequency PWM dimming for more comfortable viewing during extended sessions.

Performance, Battery, and Cooling
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15T Pro runs on MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9400+ chip, while the base 15T uses the Dimensity 8400-Ultra. A 5,500mAh battery powers both models. Charging options differ slightly: the Pro supports 90W wired and 50W wireless HyperCharge, while the 15T sticks to 67W wired charging. Xiaomi claims both batteries are built for longevity, retaining up to 80% capacity after 1,600 charge cycles.
To keep heat in check, Xiaomi introduced its 3D IceLoop System, a re-engineered vapor chamber that redistributes heat more efficiently for sustained performance during gaming and other demanding tasks.
Design and Durability

Both the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro feature a unified glass fiber back with flat frames and subtly rounded edges. Protection comes via Corning Gorilla Glass 7i up front and IP68 water and dust resistance, tested to depths of 3 meters in freshwater.
The Pro model goes further with a high-strength 6M13 aluminum alloy frame and slimmer bezels. Color choices include Black, Gray, and Mocha Gold for the Pro, while the 15T arrives in Black, Gray, and Rose Gold.
