AmazFit Adds Top Tier T-Rex Ultra 2 To Lineup

Directly Takes on Garmin Fenix and Suunto Vertical Head-on

Amazfit, a leading global brand under Zepp Health, officially announced the T-Rex Ultra 2 on February 19, 2026, as the most advanced and rugged addition to its T-Rex lineup. This titanium GPS watch is purpose-built for extreme environments and is designed to remain reliable even when plans and surroundings are unpredictable. It is engineered specifically for athletes and explorers who tackle complex routes where preparation and high-quality gear are essential for success.

Vision and Focus

The T-Rex Ultra 2 is intended for individuals who rely heavily on navigation, endurance, and the ability to make critical decisions directly from their wrist in demanding environments. According to Scott Shepley, Head of Global Marketing at Amazfit, the device serves an expedition-focused use case, complementing other models in the family by focusing on long-distance reliability. This emphasis on power and exploration makes it a primary tool for those who venture beyond standard maps and chase challenging horizons.

Rugged Design and Endurance Features

To ensure unmatched durability with a premium feel, the watch features a Grade 5 titanium bezel, buttons, and case back. Its vivid 1.5-inch AMOLED display provides up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, ensuring visibility in any lighting condition, and is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire glass. Additionally, the watch is built to withstand harsh conditions both above and below water, boasting 10 ATM water resistance and dual diving certification.

Built to go the distance, the T-Rex Ultra 2 offers up to 30 days of battery life in standard smartwatch mode and over 50 hours of continuous outdoor GPS tracking. It includes 64 GB of built-in storage, with 30 GB available to the user for saving maps and music directly on the device. For low-visibility situations, the watch is equipped with a dual-mode flashlight that features adjustable brightness, an SOS signal, and a low-interference green light mode compatible with night vision goggles.

Advanced Navigation and Route Tools

For the first time in this product line, the watch includes preloaded, full-color global maps that allow users to install specific areas via the Zepp app for offline use. These maps support turn-by-turn directions, automatic rerouting without a phone, and point-to-point route planning for distances up to 100 km. To assist with managing energy and pacing during difficult efforts, the watch introduces intelligent Checkpoint Displays and reminders for milestones such as water sources or shelters, alongside enhanced climb segmentation and elevation profiles.

Pricing and Availability

The Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 will be officially available for purchase starting on February 19, 2026. It can be purchased through the official Amazfit.com website as well as on Amazon. The retail price for this advanced, expedition-ready smartwatch is set at $549.99.
