T-Mobile and Samsung Mobile announced two affordable new Android handsets, the Gravity SMART and Exhibit 4G, both expected in June at under $100 after a $50 mail-in rebate with qualifying rate plans.
The Gravity SMART was the first Android-powered phone in the popular Gravity lineup. Running Android 2.2, it featured a 3.2-inch touchscreen, a 3-megapixel camera with LED flash, and a four-row sliding QWERTY keyboard. Available in Berry Red and Sapphire Blue for $69.99, or Lunar Gray for $29.99 after rebate.
The Exhibit 4G, priced at $79.99 after rebate, offered 4G network speeds with theoretical peaks of 21Mbps. Running Android 2.3, it featured a 1GHz processor, a 3-megapixel camera, a front-facing camera with video chat, and preloaded T-Mobile TV, Samsung Media Hub, Bejeweled 2, Doodle Jump, and Hasbro’s SCRABBLE. Available in violet and black.
