Sony Ericsson officially announced their Xperia X10 mini and X10 mini pro handsets at Mobile World Congress. Both are smaller versions of their forthcoming Xperia X10 and run Android 1.5 on a 600MHz processor. Although slower than the Xperia X10, they are still slightly faster than the first generation of Android handsets. Other specs include 2.5-inch touchscreens and a 5.0-megapixel camera. The two handsets are identical save for the slide-out QWERTY found in the pro version.
The X10 mini was set to arrive in select markets in the following quarter, available in black, red, pearl white, lime, and silver. The mini pro was to come in black and red. Pricing and carriers had yet to be announced at the time.
Here are a couple of videos from the official Sony Ericsson YouTube channel showcasing the devices.
