Samsung announced LTE-ready versions of two existing products ahead of IFA in Berlin: the Galaxy S II LTE and the Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE.
The Galaxy S II LTE upgraded the original with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a larger 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, an 8-megapixel camera, a higher-capacity 1850mAh battery, and 4G LTE support, while retaining the rest of the Galaxy S II’s features.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE matched its predecessor in most respects, adding 4G LTE connectivity. It ran Android 3.2, featured a dual-core processor, a 3-megapixel rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. At 8.6mm thin and 455g, it remained highly portable.
No carrier or pricing details were announced for either device.
