Rolling Square Introduces Natura Umana: Voice-Driven Tech Gets Personal

Rolling Square has recently revealed Natura Umana, an AI Lab that’s all about making tech less clingy and more human. This initiative sets out to shift interactions from screen-tapping to voice-driven ease.

The Main Players: NatureOS and HumanPods

The spotlight shines on two headline products: NatureOS and HumanPods. NatureOS is an AI platform that rolls out “AI People”—virtual agents that learn and grow with users. These AI People can handle schedules, manage emails, and even control smart home devices. Unlike one-size-fits-all assistants, these agents develop along with the user’s habits.

HumanPods

Backing up NatureOS are HumanPods, open-ear earbuds that offer hands-free chats with AI People. Their open-ear design keeps users aware of their surroundings—perfect for city streets or morning jogs. These earbuds pack dual microphones to block out background noise while capturing clear voice commands. With a 14.8mm driver and Dynamic Bass Enhancement, they offer rich sound. Battery life? Nine hours on a single charge, plus an extra 24 hours via the charging case. The patented gravity hook design means they’re comfy and stay put, no matter how active you are.

Vision From the Top

Carlo Ferraris, CEO of Natura Umana and co-founder of Rolling Square, shared his thoughts on the company’s direction. “By centering interactions around the most natural form of communication—voice—we’re creating a future where devices support us without dominating our attention,” Ferraris said. His forecast? Many of the tasks we handle on screens today will soon be handled by AI-driven voice commands.

The Brains Behind NatureOS

NatureOS isn’t just clever—it’s backed by industry heavyweights. Its development team includes the architect of TikTok’s Polish Automatic Speech Recognition model and a former lead from Fitbit’s mobile development team. This AI platform features ultra-low latency and highly accurate word recognition. It’s designed to enable natural conversations with AI People. The system syncs with popular APIs, making it easy to manage tasks, control smart homes, and send emails. Plus, users will be able to create and share custom AI People in a growing marketplace.

Meet the AI People

AI People are the heart and soul of Natura Umana’s experience. Unlike static assistants, they’re dynamic agents with distinct personalities and memories. Through ongoing interaction, these AI People learn, adapt, and become tailored to each user. Beyond basic support, users can access specialized agents with expertise in mental health, fitness, travel, and finance. Data privacy is a key priority, with local storage options available for sensitive data.

Community Collaboration at Work

Since its first crowdfunding campaign in 2014, Rolling Square has embraced user feedback to shape its products. With over 2.5 million units shipped and a community of 200,000 supporters, Rolling Square’s crowd-driven approach continues with Natura Umana. Early adopters, tech enthusiasts, and testers are encouraged to influence the development of NatureOS and HumanPods. AMAs, live demos, and community discussions are all part of the process.

See It For Yourself at CES 2025

Rolling Square will showcase Natura Umana at CES 2025. Attendees will get hands-on time with the voice-driven tech and see how community feedback has helped shape the project. For more updates on features, development, and release timelines, visit NaturaUmana.ai and join the growing community of early testers and collaborators.
