Realme 13+ 5G debuts with MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset

Realme has unveiled its two new mid-range smartphones in the market – the Realme 13 5G and Realme 13+ 5G. The two new siblings join the Relame 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ series family which was launched recently. Realme’s latest mid-range smartphones bring significant improvements over the last generation models including improved battery life, power-efficient processor, solid display, and much more. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest Realme 13 5G and Realme 13+ 5G smartphones.

The Realme 13+ 5G is the first smartphone from the house of Realme that features MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset. MediaTek’s very new chipset is forged on 4nm architecture and features eight cores setup: 4x cortex A78 clocked at up to 2.5GHz and 4x Cortex A55 clocked at up to 2GHz. The chipset is paired with Mali-G615 GPU and MediaTek NPU 655 (neural processing unit), for handling gaming-sided things.

For better heat management, Realme incorporated a massive 6,050 mm2 stainless steel vapor chamber which keeps the smartphone cool during gaming and multitasking. The Realme 13+ 5G has a stunning 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2000 nits peak brightness support.

Speaking of lenses, the 13+ 5G has a dual rear camera setup at the back, consisting of a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens.

Coming to the Vanilla Realme 13 variant, it is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage which is further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. It comes with a similar display to the 13+ 5G variant. However, Realme tweaks the camera configuration here, you get a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KJNS primary sensor which is complemented by a 2MP depth camera. On the front, there’s a 16MP shooter for capturing stunning selfies and video chats.

Another thing common in both smartphones is that they house a massive 5,000mAh battery, but the vanilla variant supports 45W fast charging while the 13+ 5G model ships with 80W fast charging.

Realme 13+ 5G starts at INR 22,999 ($275) for the base 8GB + 128GB variant, the 8GB + 256GB retails at INR 24,999 ($300), while the high-end 12GB + 256GB is priced at INR 26,999 ($320). The smartphone is available in three color options – Speed Green, Victory Gold, and Dark Purple.

The Realme 13 5G starts at INR 17,999 ($215) for the base 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 256GB costs INR 19,999 ($240). It comes in Spped Green and Dark Purple color options. Both smartphones will be available for purchase starting September 6.
