Lepro STV1 TV Backlight Syncs 36% Faster with AI Lighting Scenes

Lepro STV1 TV Backlight Syncs 36% Faster with AI Lighting Scenes

Lepro has introduced the STV1, a camera-based TV backlight designed to extend on-screen visuals into the surrounding room through synchronized ambient lighting. Available starting today for TVs ranging from 55 to 85 inches, the STV1 combines screen-matching backlighting with AI-generated lighting scenes and music synchronization, positioning itself as more than a simple LED strip.

Faster Sync for Action-Packed Content

The STV1’s standout feature is its LightIMS Instant Sync technology, which Lepro claims delivers a response speed 36% faster than competing products. This matters most during fast-moving content—think explosive action sequences, competitive gaming, or live sports with rapid camera cuts. When a backlight lags behind the TV image, the ambient lighting can feel disconnected from what’s happening on screen. The STV1’s quicker sync aims to keep the lighting closely aligned with rapid visual changes, creating a smoother extension of the picture beyond the display.

True-to-Screen Color Accuracy

A family of four sitting on a couch in a dimly lit living room, watching a colorful animated movie on a large television. The scene depicts a magical forest with a fairy and glowing mushrooms, while the family enjoys snacks like popcorn and drinks.

To capture color from screens up to 85 inches from a short distance, the STV1 uses a fisheye ultra-wide-angle lens with a field of view exceeding 180 degrees. Lepro’s proprietary Lens Correction technology applies distortion correction and zone mapping to the captured image, helping restore the fisheye view into a more accurate representation of the screen. Combined with color-accurate RGBIC LEDs and image-processing algorithms, this approach—dubbed True-to-Screen Color—aims to deliver more faithful color reproduction that matches what’s actually displayed on the TV.

AI Lighting Beyond the Screen

The STV1 doubles as an AI lighting system for the living room through LightGPM 4 AI Lighting Designer. Users can create customized lighting scenes using text, voice, or image prompts—whether that’s team colors for game day or a moody atmosphere for movie night. For music playback, LightBeats Music Sync uses a patented loudness algorithm to produce smooth, wave-like rhythm lighting rather than aggressive flashing effects.

Simplified Setup

Smart TV backlight product with smartphone app control, showing vibrant colors and a family enjoying a movie night.

Lepro designed the STV1 with a 2-in-1 integrated structure that combines the camera and controller into a single device. This reduces cable clutter and simplifies installation compared to setups requiring separate external components. The ultra-wide camera lens also offers more flexible positioning across different TV configurations. Additionally, blank-screen detection automatically turns off the lights when the TV screen goes dark, reducing unnecessary power consumption.

Pricing and Availability

The STV1 is available in two models: a 55-65-inch version priced at $89.99 and a 75-85-inch version priced at $109.99. Both models go on sale today through the Lepro official website and the Lepro Amazon flagship store. More details and full product specifications can be found on the official Lepro website.
