Keychron has officially lifted the curtain on its next-generation keyboard lineup, introducing the K Ultra series. Building on the massive success of its classic K series—which originally put the brand on the map for Mac and PC enthusiasts alike—the new Ultra tier represents a significant shift toward premium materials, enhanced acoustic dampening, and top-tier wireless performance.
While the original K series focused on bringing affordable, reliable mechanical typing to the masses, the K Ultra lineup targets power users and enthusiasts who want a custom-keyboard feel right out of the box.
Redesigned from the Aluminum Up

The standout change in the K Ultra series is its structural overhaul. Moving away from the optional aluminum bezels of past generations, the Ultra models feature a fully CNC-machined aluminum chassis.
Under the hood, Keychron has integrated a multi-layered acoustic dampening design. This includes custom IXPE gaskets and poron case foam, which work together to eliminate the hollow “pinging” sounds often associated with tray-mounted keyboards. The result is a deeper, more muted typing acoustic—a sound profile the keyboard community affectionately refers to as “thocky.”
Additionally, the series introduces Keychron’s new low-latency wireless technology, boosting the polling rate to 1,000Hz over a 2.4GHz connection, making it just as viable for competitive gaming as it is for typing.
Setting a New Benchmark for Workspaces

The evolution reflects a broader trend in the tech industry: everyday consumers are increasingly willing to invest in premium desktop peripherals as remote and hybrid work setups solidify.
“The original K series was about accessibility and breaking down the barrier between operating systems,” said Nick Xu, CEO of Keychron.
“With the K Ultra, we wanted to challenge the idea of what a pre-built wireless keyboard can be. We’ve taken the premium acoustic engineering typically reserved for our high-end Q series and injected it into a sleek, wireless form factor that fits seamlessly into any workspace.”

The Keychron K Ultra series will initially launch in the popular 75 percent and 81-key layouts, with full-sized variants expected later in the year.
