Govee has announced the launch of its Permanent Outdoor Lights Prism, a fresh addition to the brand’s lineup of smart lighting designed for year-round use. Known for pioneering permanent outdoor lighting solutions, Govee is positioning the Prism as its most advanced option yet, introducing a triple-color effect that takes customization to another level.

Triple-Color Effect Optics
The standout feature is Govee’s new Triple-Color Effect Optics, which allows each light head to project three independently controlled color zones. That means a single fixture can display smooth, multi-tone gradients without looking like a pixelated rainbow. According to Govee, this optical design went through thousands of refinements before landing on a balance that looks natural to the human eye.
For homeowners, the benefit is simple: more creative control. Whether you’re aiming for subtle color blends or bold, holiday-ready displays, the Prism offers flexibility beyond the one-color-per-bulb approach most systems provide.
Designed for Performance and Creativity
Under the hood, the Prism uses custom LEDs and Govee’s proprietary LuminBlend color management system. The setup supports over 16 million colors and a higher LED density than average, about 150% more, according to the company. The result is smoother gradients and sharper color reproduction for everything from warm autumn glows to bold party lighting.
For anyone who views their home exterior as a canvas, this unlocks a wide range of DIY possibilities. With scenes and effects tailored to holidays, celebrations, or just a splash of personality, the Prism encourages users to personalize their setups without compromise.
Built to Last Outdoors
Outdoor lighting has to be more than pretty; it has to survive the elements. The Prism carries TÜV Rheinland certification, which means it has been independently tested for durability in conditions as cold as -30°C and as hot as 60°C. The wiring is rated to handle a pull of up to 30 kilograms, a nod to both safety and long-term reliability.
The lights are IP68 waterproof, making them resistant to heavy rain, and Govee estimates a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours. In practical terms, that’s years of performance without needing replacements, regardless of the season.
Smart Features and Controls
As expected from Govee, the Prism isn’t just about static color displays. Through the Govee Home app, users can access more than 100 preset scenes, experiment with AI-driven dynamic effects, sync with movies or games via DreamView, or let the lights move to the beat with Music Mode.
For smart home integration, the Prism supports Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Matter, giving users a choice of voice control or app-based management.

The Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Prism is available now through Govee.com and Amazon. Pricing is set at $539.99 for a 100-foot kit, $699.99 for 150 feet, and $859.99 for 200 feet.
