Even Realities G2 Glasses Get Terminal Mode for AI Coding Agents

Even Realities G2 smart glasses with Terminal Mode for AI coding agents

For developers who spend their days supervising AI coding agents, the workflow has a familiar rhythm: run the agent, wait, check your phone, approve a tool call, put the phone down, repeat. Even Realities is trying to break that loop.

The company has launched Terminal Mode for its Even G2 smart glasses, a new feature that surfaces AI agent status on the glasses’ heads-up display and lets developers send approvals and voice commands without reaching for their phone. It pairs with the Even R1 companion ring, a small wearable that handles taps and gesture inputs.

Glance, Tap, Speak

“The AI agent era has changed what developers do — from typing every line to thinking, verifying, and steering. Terminal Mode is the first interaction model designed for ambient awareness — a glance, a tap, a word — not another screen to unlock.” — Will Wang, Founder and CEO, Even Realities

Terminal Mode lives on the Even G2 HUD and shows quiet status indicators most of the time (Thinking, Executing, Listening) at a glance but unobtrusive. When the agent actually needs something, whether that’s a permission request, an action requiring approval, or an error state, the display shifts to signal it.

A single tap on the Even R1 ring handles simple approvals. For more specific guidance, holding the ring or the glasses activates voice input. Developers can speak an instruction, release, and it goes straight to the agent. Even Realities describes it as designed for situations where a developer is away from their desk, such as a coffee break, commute, or even a gym session, but still wants to stay connected to what their agent is doing.

Available Now

Terminal Mode is available today as a built-in feature on the Even G2 smart glasses. More details are available at evenrealities.com.
