DVX Launches Night Storm X1: The Next Evolution in Night Vision

DVX has unveiled its latest innovation, the DVX Night Storm X1, a high-performance night vision binocular designed for low-light observation, capturing fine details with precision across vast distances. Equipped with an advanced 1,200-meter infrared range, native 4K recording, and 52MP photography, the Night Storm X1 brings a clear edge to nighttime visibility, putting it at the forefront of consumer-ready, military-grade technology.

Key Features of the DVX Night Storm X1

The Night Storm X1 is packed with features for those who rely on clarity and distance in low-light scenarios. A robust 3W 850nm infrared illuminator lights up objects up to 1,200 meters away, offering reliable visibility whether you’re observing wildlife, conducting surveillance, or monitoring security areas. Its true 4K video capability (9600×5400 resolution) ensures footage is recorded in native detail, bypassing common pixel interpolation found in other devices. This unaltered quality holds up under scrutiny, making it a go-to for professionals and hobbyists alike.

For still photography, the Night Storm X1 captures images at 52MP, harnessing the power of a SONY Starvis 2 CMOS sensor. This high-performance chip is known for its low-light capabilities, keeping images sharp and rich in detail, even when lighting is scarce.

Built for Versatility and Endurance

Battery life extends up to 18 hours on a full charge (with infrared off), thanks to a 5,000mAh rechargeable battery. Users can also adjust infrared levels across four settings for optimal visibility under different levels of darkness. With multi-mode functionality—day, twilight, and night—the Night Storm X1 adapts seamlessly to various lighting conditions.

An 8x digital zoom brings distant subjects into focus, while the 3-inch LCD display (360×640 pixels) provides a clear view for both photos and recordings. Designed to handle demanding outdoor environments, the device is IP65 rated for dust and water resistance, ensuring durability across diverse settings, from dense forests to open deserts.

Remote Access and Control

Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and app integration make it easy to control the Night Storm X1 remotely. The mobile app, available on both iOS and Android, allows users to live-stream, record, and take photos directly from their phone. Whether you’re in the field or setting up a remote observation, this feature adds flexibility and ease of use.

Optimized for Professionals

Engineered with a close-to-eye viewfinder and adjustable brightness settings, the DVX Night Storm X1 prioritizes user comfort. Eight screen brightness options and exposure controls (from -3 to +3) make it simple to fine-tune visibility based on ambient light. The inclusion of a tactical light with both constant and strobe modes offers an added layer of utility for close-range visibility.

Its hands-free compatibility through a neck strap and tripod mount makes it an ideal choice for nighttime observers in high-stakes fields, such as security and wildlife observation, while search-and-rescue teams benefit from its long-range visibility and portable design.

Recognized for Innovation and Design

DVX’s Night Storm X1 has been awarded the Red Dot and MUSE Design Awards for its innovative functionality, durability, and user-focused design. With multiple patents and a two-year warranty, this device is built to meet the demands of various fields.

Pricing and Availability

The DVX Night Storm X1 launches on Kickstarter, with a special introductory price of $139.
