Brinks Unveils Fingerprint Deadbolt: Your Door’s New Bouncer

Brinks, a name synonymous with security, has unveiled its latest innovation: an electronic deadbolt featuring fingerprint access. This new addition is set to make waves in home security, combining advanced technology with user-friendly features to safeguard entry points like front, back, or side doors.

The electronic lock is designed with a suite of security features aimed at thwarting various intrusion methods. Notably, it incorporates PRO-GUARD technology, an anti-tamper alarm, and an anti-pry shield. These components work together to create a formidable defense against picking, bumping, and drilling attempts, ensuring that the security of the home remains uncompromised.

The lock boasts ANSI Grade 3 certification, which guarantees a high standard of durability and security. It features a robust 1-inch deadbolt with a hardened steel anti-saw pin, providing strong resistance against forced entry. These elements contribute to a design that’s not just about keeping intruders out but also about withstanding physical attacks.

For those who manage multiple users, this lock offers impressive flexibility. It can store up to 50 fingerprints, 50 user codes, and 10 single-use codes, making it a versatile choice for families or small businesses. The lock also allows for customization with options for 1-99 second auto-lock or a 2-second one-touch lock feature, adding convenience to its robust security profile.

Powered by four AA batteries, the lock promises up to 24 months of reliable operation, significantly outlasting many competitors. A low battery indicator ensures users are never caught off guard, making maintenance straightforward.

Installation is straightforward, requiring only a Phillips screwdriver. The lock fits most standard doors; upgrading a home’s security doesn’t require professional installation or complex wiring.

Brinks’ reputation for security is well-founded, and this electronic deadbolt is a testament to its commitment to protecting homes with cutting-edge technology. Available at major retailers like Walmart and Amazon, the lock is part of a range of stylish and affordable products that blend high-end features with accessible pricing.
