E-ink devices have experienced a major surge in popularity over recent years, driven by readers and note-takers looking for a break from traditional OLED screens alongside the flexibility of accessing Google Play Store apps on paper-like displays. Expanding on that momentum, Boox has announced three new e-ink devices running Android 16 right out of the box: the Note Air6 C, the Note Mini C, and the updated Palma 3.
Launching with Android 16 pre-installed is a notable highlight for the lineup, keeping these devices remarkably current at just one generation behind the latest public Android software release.
Boox Note Air6 C: The 10.3-Inch Productivity Workhorse
Positioned as the flagship productivity device of the collection, the Boox Note Air6 C features a 10.3-inch Kaleido 3 color e-ink display paired with a front light offering full color temperature controls for comfortable viewing day or night. Designed for heavy document work and note-taking, it includes the Pen3 stylus in the box.
Under the hood, an upgraded internal processor introduces Dual Notes functionality for annotating two documents side-by-side in split-screen mode, along with new AI capabilities for audio transcriptions and document scanning. To address a traditional e-ink weakness, Boox has upgraded the display refresh rate, delivering up to a 40% performance boost for smoother interactions. The Note Air6 C is powered by a 3,700mAh battery and is available to buy starting today for $579.

Boox Note Mini C: Compact Color Portability
For users looking for a smaller digital notepad, the Boox Note Mini C brings color e-ink capabilities to an 8.52-inch form factor. Like its larger sibling, it features a Kaleido 3 color display with front lighting and is powered by an octa-core processor.
Equipped with a 3,150mAh battery, the Note Mini C promises long-lasting stamina on an efficient e-ink display. While official ordering has not yet opened, it will launch at $579.
Boox Palma 3: A Premium Phone-Sized E-Reader

The popular Palma series receives its latest generational update with the Boox Palma 3. Retaining its signature smartphone-like form factor, the Palma 3 steps up to a slightly larger 6.13-inch display.
Boox has elevated the hardware design with a refined anodized aluminum frame, replacing the plastic housing found on previous models. The rear cover is made from fiberglass with a paper-textured finish, protecting an internal 3,950mAh battery. The Palma 3 will launch at $339.
