BMX Unveils SolidSafe Air Slim Power Banks, GaN Chargers at CES 2026

BMX (Better Mobile Xperience), the design-forward accessory brand established by the veteran team behind Hyper, has announced a massive expansion of its product lineup at CES 2026. Addressing global concerns over battery safety and the demand for sleeker hardware, the company introduced four distinct product pillars: SolidSafe Air, SolidSafe, GaNsta, and ByteSize.

The new collections aim to push the limits of semi solid-state battery chemistry, AI-optimized charging, and ultra-portable data storage.

SolidSafe Air: A New Benchmark for Slim Power

With aviation authorities and consumers increasingly wary of traditional liquid-electrolyte lithium batteries, BMX is pivoting to semi solid-state technology. This chemistry reduces liquid content, resulting in a more stable, heat-resistant, and significantly thinner power cell.

The SolidSafe Air series, arriving in Q2 2026, features power banks that are thinner than most modern smartphones. The flagship 5,000 mAh model measures just 6.8 mm and is encased in a premium titanium-copper alloy. The range extends up to a 20,000 mAh unit capable of 140W output, maintaining a remarkably small footprint for its capacity.

High-Capacity Stability: The SolidSafe Range

For users with higher energy demands, the standard SolidSafe line (launching Q1 2026) applies semi solid-state benefits to larger capacities. These units are designed to stay cool during rapid 100W or 140W power delivery, making them ideal for laptops and professional cameras. The 25,000 mAh model, despite its high output, occupies less space than conventional lithium-ion competitors.

GaNsta: AI-Enhanced Charging Solutions

BMX is also evolving the Gallium Nitride (GaN) charger market with its GaNsta series. These chargers utilize AI to manage power distribution across multiple ports efficiently.

Available in Q1 2026, the lineup includes:

  • LCD Series: Ranging from 45W to 140W, these chargers feature integrated screens for real-time power monitoring.
  • Pixel Series: The 100W and 140W “Pixel” models offer a unique pixel-matrix display, providing a stylish yet functional way to track charging speeds.

ByteSize: Professional Storage That Fits in Your Pocket

Targeting the growing mobile creator market, the ByteSize micro SSDs plug directly into the USB-C port of a smartphone. These drives are designed to sit flush against the device, making them perfect for recording high-bitrate ProRes video or offloading large files on the go.

The ByteSize ULTRA (available in 1TB and 2TB) includes high-end security and recovery features, such as:

  • Biometric Security: Integrated fingerprint sensors to protect sensitive data.
  • Apple Find My Integration: Built-in tracking so the drive—or its dedicated “SafeCase”—can be located if misplaced.
  • High-Speed Transfers: Read/write speeds of up to 1050/950 MB/s for the Ultra models.

The ByteSize ecosystem and its associated tracking cases are slated for a Q2 2026 release.
