Baseus has introduced the Security PrimeSentinel U2 Pro, an outdoor security camera system that takes a more active approach to home protection. Featuring dual 3K cameras, 360-degree tracking, and a motorized spotlight that follows moving subjects, the U2 Pro aims to do more than capture footage of suspicious activity.
The Baseus Security U2 Pro launches in the US on October 20, 2026, with a suggested retail price of $279.99. It’s designed for homeowners looking to monitor driveways, entrances, and backyards without relying entirely on traditional motion-activated floodlights.
Two Cameras Keep Watch From Different Angles
The U2 Pro combines a fixed 3K camera with a second 3K pan-and-tilt camera capable of tracking movement across 360 degrees. The fixed camera monitors a designated area while the motorized camera follows people or vehicles moving around the property.

Both cameras feature a 130-degree field of view, 8x digital zoom, and night vision capabilities. This arrangement allows homeowners to maintain coverage of an entrance while simultaneously tracking activity elsewhere.
The system’s most unusual feature is its Target-Focused Deterrence Spotlight, which Baseus describes as an industry first. Rather than illuminating an entire area, the spotlight directs a concentrated beam toward a moving subject and follows their movements.
According to Baseus’ internal testing, the spotlight successfully tracked walking and jogging subjects at distances between 3 and 8 meters. It also tracked sprinting individuals at distances of 5 meters or greater. Real-world performance will depend on conditions and installation.
AI Alerts, Local Storage, and Solar Charging
Dual PIR motion sensors work with AI recognition to identify people, vehicles, and pets. The U2 Pro can generate contextual notifications describing detected activity, potentially reducing the need to review every recording.

Footage can be stored locally with support for up to 512GB of storage and AES/RSA encryption. Two-way audio, Alexa and Google Home compatibility, and remote access through the Baseus Security app round out its connected features.
A 7,800mAh rechargeable battery provides up to 150 days of operation without solar assistance, according to Baseus. The included 3W solar panel can reportedly supply enough energy for a day’s use with 40 minutes of sunlight under laboratory conditions.
The camera carries an IP65 weather-resistance rating and supports operating temperatures from -4°F to 122°F.
Pricing and Availability
The Baseus Security U2 Pro launches in the United States on October 20, priced at $279.99 MSRP. The company lists European pricing at €269.99, with a November 17 launch date.
For homeowners interested in a camera that can actively illuminate moving subjects, the U2 Pro offers an interesting alternative to conventional security cameras. Its tracking spotlight is the main attraction, though independent testing will be needed to establish how consistently it performs outside controlled conditions.
