Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra Brings Titanium Build and 33-Hour GPS Battery

Amazfit has launched the Cheetah 2 Ultra, a trail-focused running watch built to handle ultra distances and unpredictable mountain terrain. Available now for $599.99, it combines a lightweight titanium build with enhanced GPS precision and offline maps designed for runners who measure their efforts in elevation gain and hours on the trail.

Built Light, Built Strong

The Cheetah 2 Ultra uses Grade 5 titanium for its bezel, frame, and back cover, paired with scratch-resistant sapphire glass. The result is a watch that can handle technical trails without adding bulk. A 1.5-inch AMOLED display hits 3,000 nits at peak brightness, making data readable under harsh alpine sun. There’s also a dual-mode flashlight with adjustable white, red, SOS, and Boost modes up to 300 lux for early starts and late finishes.

Battery Life That Keeps Pace

Trail runners need a watch that won’t quit mid-race. The Cheetah 2 Ultra delivers 33 hours in Trail Running Mode with always-on display, heart rate monitoring, dual-frequency GPS, all-satellite positioning, and map navigation active. For everyday use, expect up to 30 days of battery life between charges.

Navigation Built for Mountains

Getting lost on a trail isn’t part of the training plan. Amazfit equipped the Cheetah 2 Ultra with dual-frequency GPS across six satellite systems and a circularly polarized antenna for reliable tracking through forests and canyons. Full-color topographic maps render 2.5 times faster and refresh 12 times faster than the previous generation. Runners can create point-to-point routes, search nearby points of interest, and reroute automatically without a phone or network connection.

A new elevation overview color-codes slope difficulty across the entire route, giving runners a visual guide to what’s ahead. Trail Running mode also calculates load factor based on gradient, terrain resistance, and vertical gain, so the data reflects the actual intensity of mountain efforts.

Metrics That Matter

The watch tracks advanced running metrics including lactate threshold, running power, pacing analysis, gait tracking, ground contact time, and posture. The Zepp App organizes training across endurance, strength, and recovery with Weekly Structure showing how load is distributed. BioCharge energy monitoring translates overnight recovery into a daily readiness signal, while VOâ‚‚ max, HRV, sleep, and training load insights help runners understand when to push and when to pull back.

For those who want deeper control, the Cheetah 2 Ultra integrates with TrainingPeaks, Runna, and Intervals.icu, and syncs activities with Strava. The watch includes 64GB of onboard storage for over 100 hours of podcasts and additional mapping.
