Tronsmart Mirtune H1 Wireless Speaker Review

Tronsmart Mirtune H1 Wireless Speaker Review

Bluetooth speakers are everywhere today, and while nearly every accessory maker boasts a collection, few can match the comprehensive range offered by Tronsmart. This company is renowned for consistently delivering an impressive lineup of wireless devices across various form factors. The new Mirtune H1 stands out as one of their smallest releases, yet it delivers exceptional sound quality that will impress even the most discerning audiophiles.

Design

The Tronsmart Mirtune H1 has a pretty simple industrial build. The tiny portable speaker is wrapped in a nylon covering with a full IPX7 waterproof rating. Atop the speaker is an integrated carabiner for easy travel and securement. The overall dimensions are just 5x3x2 inches, making the Mirtune H1 incredibly small.

On the front of the speaker, you’ll find a three-button layout for quickly controlling playback. This includes the volume up and down, as well as a play/pause button. On the top of the speaker, you get a Bluetooth pairing button and a power on/off switch.

Overall, the Mirtune H1 is a compact speaker that’s light in hand and easily portable. I love the mix of fabrics and soft-touch plastics. It lends to a mix of materials that’s both nice and durable.

Performance and audio

I found the Tronsmart Mirtune H1 to genuinely surprise me with the amount of sound that it produces. I always expect these smaller units to perform at just an “ok” level, but the H1 exceeded any expectations. The output can easily fill a room with tunes or podcasts. I think even outdoors, the volume being loud enough for most environments shouldn’t be an issue.

Volume isn’t the only metric when testing out a portable speaker. Having a balance in quality, especially with smaller units, is key. This is a line that the Mirtune H1 again outperforms my assumptions. While it’s not in the league of larger options, to produce the robustness that comes out of this compact setup is impressive.

General performance via Bluetooth and controls has been solid. I’ve had zero issues with connection or the Mirtune H1 responding to my inputs of the button array. Even the usual hit-or-miss of reconnecting after turning a speaker off and then returning power saw the connection pick up with the last known paired device as it should.

The Tronsmart Mirtune H1 also supports phone calls. While I personally didn’t use this a ton in my review time, I can see this being a great option while outdoors. Camping or hiking finds you away from your phone at times, and having the speaker clipped to a kayak or backpack could be a convenient way to take a call. The calls I did take in testing were decent, with one caller saying I sounded a little far away but overall a good experience.

Battery

Having to remember to charge the Mirtune H1 should be the least of your worries. Tronsmart rates the unit to last up to 20 hours if fully charged, and I’ve found this to be conservative. If you aren’t blaring music at full volume or taking long phone calls, I see no reason you can’t get a full 24 hours away from a charger.

Charging is a breeze when it is needed. Via the USB-C port found in the bottom of the speaker, the Mirtune H1 can be easily charged with the included cable, USB-C battery pack, or any other cable you have that has the standard port. Fully topping off the internal cells takes about 2.5 hours. The omission of fast charging of any kind is unfortunate, but at the sub-$40 price point, it’s understandable.

Final thoughts

Awarded to products with an average rating of 3.75 stars or higher, the AndroidGuys Smart Pick recognizes a balance of quality, performance, and value.

Products with this distinction deserve to be on your short list of purchase candidates.

I found myself using the Tronsmart Mirtune H1 around the house much more than I anticipated. The combination of the portable design, IPX7 waterproofing, and the integrated clip makes it suitable for any setting. From your living room to camping, or even the shower, this speaker is ready to keep you entertained.

The Tronsmart Mirtune H1 is currently available for just $30 via the company’s storefront as well as Amazon. Again, this versatile little speaker is a steal at this price. Hit our link below to add the H1 as your new travel companion.
