Early Impressions

The light indicator is a nice touch so we can see that we’re moving from massage to whiten mode. We would like for things to be a little more distinct lighting-wise but we can overlook for the price.

The same could be said for the charging as you need to supply your own power adapter. With that said, the USB plug is one that’s readily available and you’re only charging about once per month. Indeed, you can plug it into your PC should be be in a pinch.

You won’t find any warranty information in the box, nor does Amazon’s listing help, but the ATMOKO Electric Toothbrush does comes with a one-year warranty. Rugged Cat S62 comes to T-Mobile for $500

Roughly two months after introducing its S62 Pro, Bullitt Group announces its newest device, the S62 for T-Mobile. Designed as the “ultimate work phone”, it’s the sort of handset you would see on construction job sites or in the pocket of a utility worker.

The S62, much like others in the Cat portfolio, is built to withstand just about anything thrown at it. The S62 exceeds US military standard MIL-SPEC 810H which means it has passed extreme temperatures, thermal shocks, salt mist conditions, vibration and tumble tests.

The Cat S62 stands up to sand, dirt, dust, and water and can even withstand drops up to six feet onto steel.

The 5.7-inch display is protected by Gorilla Glass 6 and will work with wet fingers or even gloves. Moreover, it’s super-bright and optimized for outdoor visibility.

The Cat S62 ships with Android 10 but it an update to Android 11 is expected later this year. Business customers will be interested to learn the phone has Android Enterprise support.

Although the Cat S62 is one of the most rugged devices available, that doesn’t mean you’ll lose other important hardware. Also present are a fingerprint sensor, a programmable side button with PTT, Qi wireless charging, and Quick Charge 4.0.

Mobvoi unveils the TicWatch E3 with Snapdragon Wear 4100 for $200

Last year, Mobvoi unveiled the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS, the first smartwatch to feature Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset. In our review, I noted how it is the fastest Wear OS watch I’ve ever used along with having stellar battery life. The only problem is that it’s a bit on the pricey side coming in at $300. However, if you wanted Qualcomm’s latest chipset, you had no choice.

That was until today, when Mobvoi announced a new member to its TicWatch lineup sporting the Snapdragon Wear 4100. Introducing the TicWatch E3, the latest Mobvoi smartwatch with top-of-the-line specs and a much more affordable $200 price tag.

So, what else do you need to know about Mobvoi’s latest smartwatch? Besides being powered by the Snapdragon Wear 4100, it comes with 1GB of RAM, which in case you didn’t know, that really makes a difference with performance. It’s very difficult to recommend a smartwatch with less than 1GB of RAM these days and it’s nice to see Mobvoi didn’t cheap out here.

Along with all that power, the TicWatch E3 also comes packed with health sensors. There’s a PPG heart rate sensor and SpO2 sensor for 24-hour monitoring of your heart rate and blood oxygen levels. The watch can also keep track of your steps, sleeping schedule, stress levels, and a wide variety of exercises with the new redesigned Mobvoi app.

Speaking of tracking exercises, the TicWatch E3 features an IP68 water resistance rating making it suitable for tracking swimming.

Besides being a capable health tracker, the TicWatch E3 also features a mic and speaker making it possible to take calls on the watch. Plus, you can make contactless payments using Google Pay thanks to the NFC chip.

Finally, the TicWatch E3 uses a 1.3-inch display and has a 380mAh battery to keep the lights on. Mobvoi promises up to two days of battery life with Essential mode enabled, which puts the smartwatch into a special low power mode. In this mode, you’ll be able to view the time, date, steps, and heart rate. However, all other features will be disabled to reduce power usage. By default, the TicWatch E3 will enable Essential mode when the battery hits five percent.

OnePlus announces the new Nord N200 5G with 90Hz display for $240

The never settle brand announced a new member to its most affordable lineup of smartphones today with the OnePlus Nord N200 5G for a price of $240. Like previous Nord phones, this one promises to give you high-end features without the high cost.

For starters, the Nord N200 5G features a 6.49-inch FHD display with a 90Hz refresh rate to ensure smoother transitions and images on the screen. Also, as the name suggests, it will be a 5G phone, and quite an affordable one at that.

Besides the display and 5G connectivity, the rest of the specs are mostly what you’d expect from an entry-level phone these days. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and includes 64GB of storage. There’s also a microSD card slot allowing you to expand the storage further.

That should be helpful in storing all of the photos you’ll be taking with the OnePlus Nord N200 5G’s triple camera setup on the rear of the device. We don’t know much about the focal length of the cameras on the back, whether or not there is a zoom lens or if the additional cameras are for portrait or macros, but we do know that the main shooter uses a 13MP sensor.

When it comes time to take some selfies, the hole-punch camera on the front of the device uses an even larger sensor coming in at 16MP.

Finally, keeping that 90Hz display lit up is a 5,000mAh battery which OnePlus says will allow you to spend hours watching TV, playing graphically intense games, or browsing the internet without fear of the device running out of juice. However, when you do need to charge up, the Nord N200 5G uses 18W charging to make sure you can fill up quickly and ditch the cable.

Sales of the OnePlus Nord N200 5G will begin on June 25, 2021, at 11 am ET with a price of $240 USD. Realme GT debuts with high-end specs and mid-range price

Chinese phone maker realme on Tuesday announced its latest handset, the high-end GT, for several European markets. Comprised of robust hardware specifications, it is priced much lower than its contemporaries. In other words, it’s the latest attempt at a “flagship killer.”

Priced as low as €369 (~ $450 USD), the Realme GT boasts a 6.4-inch HD display with 120Hz refresh rate with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The phone runs Android 11 but is among the first on the market to support the Android 12 Beta 1. According to realme, it will launch an updated UI later this year based on feedback from the Developer Preview program.

Key hardware details include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage capacities.

In terms of cameras, the realme GT has a 64-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel ultrawide, 2-megapixel macro, and 16-megapixel selfie shooter.

The 4,500mAh battery should be more than sufficient for a day and half of usage; the 65W fast charging ensures it takes but a few minutes to juice up.

There is no option for wireless charging but it does have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The title of “flagship killer” is commonly thrown around the smartphone space; it was also what OnePlus billed its handsets in the first generations. Realme, who has emerged from the same original source (Oppo) and supply chain, looks to be more worthy of the moniker for now

Availability

Pricing and availability is a tad interesting and perhaps even confusing. The 8GB+128GB will be priced at €449 (~$550 USD) with an early-bird promo of €369 (~$450 USD), on sale from June 21 via Ali Express. The 12GB+256GB will be priced at €599 (~$725 USD) with an early-bird promo of €499 (~$600 USD) available from June 21st to all consumers during Amazon Prime Day.

Cricket Wireless (Cricket) initially launched in 1999 and is a US-based prepaid wireless service provider; it’s a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T. It offers its own lineup of GSM phones, many of which are also found at other carriers. As one might expect, it uses AT&T for its coverage.

Does Cricket have any special deals?

Currently you can find a number of phones discounted with new phone numbers, upgrades, and porting your existing number. Some models are even free with the right combination of port-in and signing up for a particular rate plan.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus

Take Samsung’s flagship phone from 2020 and dial things up a smidge; that’s what you get from this one. It’s everything an early adopter could love, including a large screen, excellent cameras, and generous battery. Oh, and power on top of power.

Running the show is a late version of Android with Samsung’s much-improved custom touches, an experience we’ve really come to enjoy. Other features we love include the in-display fingerprint reader, wireless charging and power sharing, and its tons of storage space.

Samsung Galaxy A51

The Galaxy S series gets all of the fanfare, but the Galaxy A line is just as good for many users. Indeed, these lower cost options give consumers the same great Samsung design but with just the right amount of features. We’re talking maybe half the price yet still no noticeable difference in performance.

Standout features in the Galaxy A51 include a 6.5-inch HD display, and quad-camera (16MP main lens, 120 degree ultra wide, 2MP depth camera, and 2MP macro) array. An octa-core processor is paired 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The phone runs Android 10 with a 4,000mAh battery should most users far beyond a full day.

Samsung Galaxy A51

Don’t let that price fool you; it’s all the phone that most prepaid users might need as 2020 gets underway. Included are a large (5.99-inch) screen and a 3,500mAh battery that lasts well beyond a day. We’re also really fond of the Android 9 Pie software build and USB Type-C charging.

Motorola Moto G7 Supra

We absolutely adore what Motorola does with its Android phones, particularly along the lower end of the price spectrum. Its handsets run a bare bones Android experience that leaves things pretty much the way Google intended. In other words, clean, intuitive, and user friendly.

Here, you get a massive (6.2-inch) HD screen, a modern build of Android, and respectable smattering of mid-range hardware. Key details include an octa-core processor, 32GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot for external media.
