ULTRALOQ Smart Locks: Matter & Z-Wave at CES 2026, Plus Biometric Updates

At CES 2026, tech company Xthings is rebranding the way we enter our homes. Moving away from complicated “smart locks” that require manual steps, Xthings is introducing a Smart Access philosophy. The goal is to make entering your home feel natural and invisible, using advanced technology to recognize you as you approach.

Under the theme “Connect Future,” Xthings is focusing on technology that works behind the scenes. Instead of fumbling for a phone or a keypad, the company is using a mix of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) tracking, facial recognition, and universal standards like Matter and Aliro. This ensures that your front door works perfectly with other smart home systems from Apple, Amazon, and Google.

According to Raj Sundar, Xthings’ Senior Director of Product Management, getting into your home shouldn’t feel like a task. The new goal is to have your home recognize your presence and identity automatically so it can respond to you naturally. He said: “The next era of smart access is invisible: your credentials, your proximity, and your biometric identity working together securely, so your home responds naturally to you.”

The Pro-Grade Solution: ULTRALOQ Latch 7 Pro

Coming in early 2026, the Latch 7 Pro is built for homeowners and professional installers who want maximum reliability.

  • Universal Compatibility: It is designed to work across all major smart home platforms rather than being locked into one brand.
  • Fast Connectivity: It uses “Matter over Thread” for quick, local responses.
  • Extended Range: For larger homes, it supports Z-Wave 800 Series technology, which offers better battery life and covers long distances without needing extra signal boosters.

ULTRALOQ Bolt Sense

Launching in the second quarter of 2026, the Bolt Sense focuses on “touch-free” entry. This lock doesn’t care if your hands are full of groceries or if your fingerprints are wet.

  • Biometric Duo: It combines 3D facial recognition with palm vein scanning. By reading the unique vein patterns under your skin, it provides a highly secure way to enter without touching a thing.
  • Smart Sensing: It detects when you are approaching and uses infrared tech to see you clearly in total darkness or bright sunlight.

The ULTRALOQ Bolt Mission UWB

Xthings also announced that the Bolt Mission UWB is officially available for purchase. This lock uses Ultra-Wideband precision to know exactly where you are. It is designed to unlock the moment you reach the door—but smart enough not to trigger accidentally when you’re just walking nearby.

The Future of Smart Access

Xthings is continuing to expand its lineup with more locks featuring the Z-Wave 800 platform and the Matter standard. These upcoming products focus on better security, easier setup, and longer battery life, ensuring that the smart home of the future remains connected and efficient.
