Tracfone Doubles Data Offerings, Adds Hotspot and Flexible Plans

Tracfone, a prominent prepaid mobile service provider within the Verizon Value portfolio, has rolled out noteworthy enhancements to its Unlimited Talk & Text plans. In a move that’s sure to make data-hungry users smile, the company is doubling the data allotment across its plans without increasing the price.

Starting today, both new and existing customers on the $15, $20, $25, $30, and $40 Unlimited Talk & Text plans will enjoy twice the data for their monthly fee. Here’s the breakdown:

  • The $15 plan now includes 1GB of data, up from 0GB.
  • The $20 plan offers 4GB, doubling the previous 2GB.
  • The $25 plan provides 6GB, increased from 3GB.
  • The $30 plan comes with 10GB, up from 5GB.
  • The $40 plan now features 20GB, doubling the former 10GB.

These upgrades surpass the data offerings of direct competitor Consumer Cellular, giving Tracfone users more freedom to browse, stream, and stay connected without constantly checking their data meter.

In a move that’s sure to keep multi-device households happy, all Unlimited Talk & Text plans now support hotspot functionality. Previously reserved for the $40 monthly plan, this feature allows users to share their data with other devices—perfect for those times when the Wi-Fi decides to take a nap.

Flexibility is also getting a boost with the introduction of new plan durations. Beyond the standard 30-day option, customers can now choose from 60-, 90-, 180-, and even 365-day plans, making it easier to align mobile service with personal schedules and budgets.

“We are thrilled to offer our customers even more value with these new plan enhancements,” said David Kim, Chief Revenue Officer at Verizon Value organization. “By doubling the data and adding hotspot capabilities, we are ensuring that our customers can stay connected and get the most out of their wireless experience. Our goal is to provide the best price and value in the market, and these changes reflect our commitment to that mission.”

Tracfone continues to stand out by offering Unlimited Carryover Data, allowing customers to retain unused data as long as their service remains active. This means no more worrying about losing leftover data at the end of the month—unless you decide to spend it all on endless cat videos.

These updates underscore Tracfone’s dedication to providing affordable and reliable wireless services that adapt to the changing needs of its users. With plans designed to minimize unexpected costs and data overages, Tracfone ensures that customers get the data they need, the flexibility they want, and the value they deserve.
