OnePlus launched its new flagship OnePlus Buds Pro 3 earbuds to take on the recently launched Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Successor to last year’s launched OnePlus Buds Pro 2 comes with solid upgrades without a price bump, which is truly impressive. The Buds Pro 2 earbuds are still on my top five best wireless earbuds lists thanks to their amazing sound and striking design. And, its upgraded version is just getting better in terms of looks and overall performance.
There are no changes in the Buds Pro 3’s design. It retains the same two-tone finish design as its predecessor, while the OnePlus overhauled the case design, featuring an oval-shaped design with a premium vegan-leather aesthetic. The new charging case design truly looks premium and makes it more compact.
OnePlus packs dual sound drivers: an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter inside each bud. It is the same dual-driver technology found in the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. OnePlus made some internal changes, adding two magnets and a new ceramic-metal diaphragm to further enhance the sound quality. The earbuds come with dual DACs (Digital-to-Analog) converters to deliver powerful bass, crisp treble, and expansive soundstage. The Buds Pro 3 are master-tuned by Dyanadio, offering incredible sound quality. The 6mm tweeter features a small but mighty 35-micrometer flat voice coil, ensuring the tiniest high-frequency details are audible.
OnePlus incorporated the best-ever adaptive active noise cancellation technology that cancels out up to 50dB of background noise and offers a crystal clear sound experience even in noisy environments. The adaptive noise cancellation tech also automatically adjusts the level of ANC based on your environment which further helps to improve battery efficiency.
The earbuds offer up to 43 hours of listening time on a single charge with the charging case. OnePlus claims the Buds Pro 3 will last about 5 hours with ANC on at 50% volume by charging them just for 10 minutes. The rest of the highlights of the Buds Pro 3 include IP55 ingress protection, Fast pair support, multipoint connectivity, Google Spatial audio, and Find My Network support.
