TESSAN has introduced the AERO 5000, a 5,000mAh magnetic power bank built around a 6.9mm titanium body and a semi-solid-state battery cell. The charger is available for preorder through TESSAN’s website, with shipping planned for October 2026.
TESSAN lists the AERO 5000 at $69, though early buyers can apply a $30 coupon that lowers the price to $39. The company says preorder payments are fully refundable before shipping.
A Thinner Approach to Magnetic Charging
The AERO 5000 measures 103 x 69.8 x 6.9mm, making it unusually thin for a portable battery with a 5,000mAh capacity. TESSAN compares the 0.27-inch profile to the thickness of roughly three credit cards.
Its rear cover uses titanium alloy, while the lower housing and buttons are made from flame-retardant PC and ABS plastic. The titanium should help the charger resist everyday wear without adding much bulk, though TESSAN has not provided an official weight.
The slim shape appears aimed at people who want a battery pack that can remain attached to a phone without turning it into a pocket brick. Commuters, travelers, photographers, and anyone who spends the day leaning on maps or mobile data are the clearest audience.
Semi-Solid-State Battery Technology
TESSAN says the AERO 5000 uses its SolidSafe semi-solid-state battery technology rather than a conventional liquid-electrolyte cell. According to the company, the design reduces heat buildup and lowers the risk of thermal runaway after physical damage.
The supplied material claims the cell can withstand piercing, bending, and cutting without igniting. Those are manufacturer claims rather than independent test results, so the real-world safety advantage remains to be verified.
A semi-solid-state design could still be the AERO 5000’s most interesting feature. Portable batteries spend plenty of time being dropped, squeezed into bags, and left in warm cars. Better resistance to physical stress has practical value, provided the finished product performs as described.
Magnetic and USB-C Charging
The power bank supports magnetic wireless output at 5W, 7.5W, 10W, and 15W. TESSAN says it aligns with compatible devices and begins charging after attachment, without requiring a button press.
The company reports that the AERO 5000 can add 25 percent to an iPhone 16 Pro battery in 42 minutes. Charging speed will likely vary with temperature, phone activity, alignment, and battery level.
A USB-C port supports up to 20W wired output and 15W input. That gives owners the option to charge another device by cable or skip some of the efficiency losses associated with wireless charging. The rated battery capacity is 5,000mAh at 3.85V, or 19.25Wh.
At the $39 preorder price, the AERO 5000 looks competitive for a titanium magnetic battery with an unusually thin profile. At the eventual $69 retail price, its value will depend more heavily on whether the semi-solid-state cell delivers measurable safety and longevity benefits rather than serving as expensive battery chemistry alphabet soup.
