Trail runners and outdoor enthusiasts have a major reason to celebrate as Finnish outdoor brand Suunto announced two flagship releases designed to elevate training and racing. The company has officially launched the Suunto Race 3S, a next-generation performance watch, alongside the all-new Suunto AI Coach. Built for athletes who want elite navigation and training tools without extra bulk, the new duo aims to make outdoor performance lighter, smarter, and much more intuitive.
Compact Design Meets Flagship Power
The Suunto Race 3S packs high-end performance specs into a compact 46 mm case weighing just 56 grams with its silicone strap. Featuring a titanium bezel and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass, this watch easily handles rugged trail conditions while staying comfortable on smaller wrists.
On the front, a vibrant 1.32-inch AMOLED display reaches up to 2,000 nits of brightness, keeping maps and race stats crystal clear even under intense midday sun. Under the hood, a responsive Apollo 510 processor drives fast menu navigation, while an upgraded optical heart rate sensor with six LEDs and four photodetectors delivers accurate tracking through heavy exertion.
Navigating off-grid is effortless thanks to 64 GB of onboard storage packed with free worldwide offline maps featuring contour lines, street names, and points of interest. Best of all, an impressive battery life of up to 38 hours in dual-band GPS mode means you can tackle multi-day adventures without constantly searching for a charger.
Personal Training Guidance on Demand
Debuting alongside the hardware is the Suunto AI Coach, an intelligent conversational assistant integrated directly into the Suunto app. Rather than burying runners in endless raw data, the AI Coach analyzes your personal metrics to provide clear, actionable answers to training questions. It can build custom training plans, design structured workouts, and generate personalized routes paired with visual charts, tables, and maps.
Once created, these custom plans and routes sync effortlessly over to your watch so you can execute your race strategy out on the trail. As an added perk, anyone who purchases and pairs a Race 3S gets three months of free access to Suunto AI Coach when activating the watch in the app by December 31, 2026.

Pricing and Availability
When it comes to getting your hands on the new gear, the Suunto Race 3S carries a retail price of $599 USD / EUR 499. The watch is available in three distinct titanium finishes: Titanium Black, Titanium Orchid (Purple), and Titanium Feather (Grey). Official availability kicks off on October 15, 2026 across Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and China, with rollout following on October 29, 2026 in North America and the Asia-Pacific region. Runners can buy the Race 3S directly through Suunto’s online store or from authorized outdoor and running retail partners.
