Shokz, a brand synonymous with innovative open-ear headphones, has announced its latest product, the OpenSwim Pro. This new offering combines Bluetooth functionality with MP3 capability, bringing a unique twist to sports headphones using bone conduction technology.

The OpenSwim Pro is designed to cater to the needs of athletes across various sports. It stands out with its open-ear design, built into an ultra-lightweight frame, making it suitable for activities like swimming, running, and biking. The design allows users to enjoy music while being fully aware of their surroundings.

One of the key features of the OpenSwim Pro is its flexible nickel-titanium alloy frame coupled with soft silicone material, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit. This makes them ideal for use with swimming caps and goggles, and equally effective for everyday activities such as interacting with colleagues or staying connected with friends and family.

Vincent Xiong, CEO of Shokz, highlighted the demand for a versatile headphone that can switch between Bluetooth streaming and MP3 listening both in and out of the water. The OpenSwim Pro meets this demand, offering users the ability to easily switch modes with a simple press of a button or through the Shokz app.

“We’re incredibly proud to launch the OpenSwim Pro, in what is our most versatile headphone to date. With both Bluetooth and MP3 capabilities, OpenSwim Pro unlocks an athlete’s full potential and is built to be comfortable, safe and secure in any situation.”

Shokz has equipped the OpenSwim Pro with its PremiumPitch 2.0+ technology, ensuring clear sound, powerful volume, and rich bass across three EQ modes: swimming mode, vocal booster mode, and standard mode. The headphones are also optimized for phone calls, featuring two microphones with noise and echo cancellation for clear audio communication.

In terms of durability and battery life, the OpenSwim Pro boasts an IP68 waterproof rating, allowing for up to two hours of use under two meters of water. It also offers up to nine hours of battery life with a quick charge feature, ensuring uninterrupted music for long workouts or sessions. The headphone’s 32GB of MP3 memory, capable of storing up to 8,000 songs, adds to its appeal for fitness enthusiasts.

Additional technical specs include Bluetooth v5.3 for a stable connection, multipoint pairing, a rechargeable Li-Polymer battery, and a range of supported MP3 music formats.

The OpenSwim Pro represents a significant advancement in sports headphones, offering versatility, comfort, and high-quality audio in various environments. Whether for a swimmer looking to enjoy music underwater or an athlete seeking a reliable audio companion for diverse workouts, the OpenSwim Pro is set to be a popular choice. With a 2-year warranty and a suite of advanced features, it’s a notable addition to Shokz’s line of open-ear headphones.
