Pokémon GO Adds RSVP Planner for Smoother Raid Coordination

Niantic has announced a new RSVP planner feature for Pokémon GO, launching on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. PDT. Designed to help Trainers organize raid battles with friends, family, and global players, the RSVP planner brings much-needed structure to community raid coordination.

Smarter Raid Planning, All on the Map

The RSVP planner integrates directly into the Pokémon GO map, letting Trainers see when and where others are planning to participate in upcoming raids. Selecting a raid displays detailed information, including available time slots, participant lists, and even navigation assistance to guide Trainers to the raid location.

As soon as a Raid Egg appears at a Gym, Trainers can schedule their participation and view how many others have RSVP’d for specific time slots. This visibility helps players coordinate more effectively and avoid showing up solo for big battles.

Invites, Reminders, and Shadow Raids Included

Beyond simple scheduling, the RSVP planner offers reminders for upcoming raid times and the ability to invite up to five fellow Trainers from anywhere in the world to join a selected raid. Importantly, this functionality extends to Shadow Raids, expanding the feature’s usefulness for more challenging encounters.

Trainers can track raids they’ve RSVP’d for and discover nearby raids that are open for participation, making it easier to fill out teams and maximize in-game rewards.

Upcoming Events Featuring the RSVP Planner

Several in-game events will showcase the new RSVP planner in action. Ongoing and upcoming highlights include:

  • Crown Clash & Crown Clash: Taken Over
  • Five-star raids with Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf, regionally distributed
  • Mega Gyarados raids
  • Shadow Regigigas Raid Day (May 17)
  • Regirock Shadow Raids (May 17–18, May 24–25, May 31–April 1)
  • Final Strike: GO Battle Week (May 21–27)
  • Mega Altaria raids (May 25)
  • Five-star raids with Tapu Bulu (May 26)
  • Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global (June 28)

Remote Raid Pass Bundle Now Available

For Trainers preferring to raid from home—or just not wanting to leave their couch—a Remote Raid Pass bundle is available through the Pokémon GO Web Store. Priced at $2.99 USD (or local equivalent), the bundle includes two Remote Raid Passes, providing extra flexibility for raid participation.

More information about the RSVP planner and upcoming events can be found on the official Pokémon GO website.

Remember, as the app says, stay aware of your surroundings.
