Nubia has officially unveiled its latest flagship products, the nubia Z70S Ultra smartphone and the nubia Pad Pro tablet, at a launch event in China on April 28, 2024. With cutting-edge hardware and a renewed focus on intelligent design, both devices aim to push the boundaries of mobile technology.
Nubia Z70S Ultra: Mobile Photography Reimagined
Building on its reputation for powerful mobile cameras, the nubia Z70S Ultra introduces 5th Generation 35mm Custom Optics, offering 40% more brightness than previous models. At the heart of the device is the “Light & Shadow Master 990″ sensor, a collaborative creation with OmniVision. This 50MP powerhouse features a large 1/1.3” sensor and 1.2μm pixels, engineered to deliver outstanding clarity and low-light performance.
The camera system brings professional-grade features like H/V Quad Phase Detection (QPD) autofocus, DCG HDR, optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 64MP periscope lens with macro capabilities. A 50MP ultra-wide macro lens ensures that every angle, near or far, can be captured in stunning detail. Photographers will appreciate the dual-stage camera button and a range of pro-grade accessories, including magnetic filter mounts and camera-style cases.
In terms of display, the Z70S Ultra debuts nubia’s 7th Generation true full-screen technology, featuring an Under-Display Camera and second-generation LongXi Durable Glass. Inside, it runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Platform, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Gamers and media enthusiasts will benefit from a 144Hz refresh rate, 2500Hz touch sampling, and AI-enhanced graphics rendering.
A standout feature is the third-generation “Nanhai” battery system, which powers a 6600mAh silicon-carbon anode battery, capable of maintaining performance even in extreme cold. In a category-first move, the Z70S Ultra supports offline long-distance real-time voice communication without network access, offering added peace of mind for adventurers and emergency situations.
Design highlights include a sleek red accent ring, NEOVISION insignia, narrow bezels, and a premium micro-etched faux leather glass back. The Slide Switch Key provides quick access to the camera, game mode, or real-time translation functions.
Nubia Pad Pro: Big Power in a Thin Frame
Making its tablet debut, the nubia Pad Pro packs flagship-grade performance into a slim, lightweight design. Powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Gen 3 processor and supported by LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage, the Pad Pro is optimized for gaming, productivity, and media creation.
A 10.9-inch 2.8K ultra-HD display (2880×1800 resolution) and DTS:X Ultra spatial audio combine to create an immersive entertainment experience. With a body just 7.3mm thick and weighing only 523g, the tablet is designed for easy portability. Productivity gets a boost from a 78-key full-function keyboard and a sharp 20MP front-facing camera for professional-quality video calls.
Looking Ahead: Global Launch Incoming
