Meet Fitbit Ace LTE, the Smartwatch for Active and Connected Kids

Parents often struggle to balance their children’s independence with their safety and health, especially in today’s fast-paced technological world. To address this, Fitbit has launched the Ace LTE, a first-of-its-kind connected smartwatch for kids aged 7 and up. The Ace LTE combines fun and fitness with essential communication features, giving families peace of mind.

Movement through Play

Kids naturally love to move and play, and they also enjoy video games. The Fitbit Ace LTE brings these two interests together with immersive, interactive 3D games that encourage physical activity. The more kids move, the more game time they earn. These games use haptics, sounds, and the accelerometer to create engaging gameplay.

Whether racing as a chicken in space or fishing for a Soy Sauce Snapper, the Fitbit Ace LTE keeps kids entertained and active. The Fitbit Arcade updates with new games every few months, ensuring there’s always something fresh to play.

The device tracks various physical activities, from playing hide and seek to dancing with siblings. These movements are displayed in a unique activity ring called the ‘Noodle,’ which celebrates kids’ daily achievements.

Designed with Safety and Privacy in Mind

Fitbit developed the Ace LTE with input from experts in child psychology, public health, privacy, and digital wellbeing. Privacy is a priority: only parents can view their child’s location and activity data, which is automatically deleted after 24 hours and 35 days, respectively. There are no ads or third-party apps, and only parent-approved contacts can call or message the device.

A new movement algorithm developed by Google Research accurately measures kids’ physical activity, encouraging and motivating them to move more.

Meet the Eejie

In addition to games, the Fitbit Ace LTE introduces eejies, customizable creatures that thrive on physical activity. As kids meet their movement goals, their eejie becomes healthier and happier. Completing daily activities earns arcade tickets that can be used to customize the eejie’s look and home in Bit Valley.

The smartwatch offers six collectible bands, each with built-in technology that unlocks new items and experiences when attached. For example, the blue Courtside band immerses the eejie in a basketball world, while the green band introduces Wally, a Spooky Pug who loves cosplay. Bands are sold separately, with new designs released regularly.

Features to Bring Families Closer

The Fitbit Ace LTE provides parents with peace of mind through the Fitbit Ace Pass and the new Fitbit Ace app, available for both Android and iOS. Parents can see their child’s real-time location, call, send and receive text and voice messages, add trusted contacts, and manage settings like School Time to minimize distractions during class. Tap to Pay, coming soon, will give kids safe access to pocket money.

Setup is straightforward: parents download the Fitbit Ace app on their phone, and kids can start using the device in minutes. There’s no need for a separate SIM card or activation fee, as everything is included in the Fitbit Ace Pass.

Durable and Stylish Design

The Fitbit Ace LTE is water-resistant up to 50 meters and features a battery that lasts more than 16 hours. The high-resolution display is scratch-resistant and dustproof, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. A free bumper is included in the box for added protection.

Pricing and Availability

The Fitbit Ace LTE can be pre-ordered today for $229.95 exclusively at the Google Store and Amazon. It requires the Fitbit Ace Pass data plan for LTE connectivity, game access, and regular updates.

The Fitbit Ace Pass is $9.99 per month or $119.99 annually, with annual subscribers receiving a collectible Ace Band valued at $34.99. There’s a special offer: if you purchase the annual plan before August 31st, you’ll save 50% off the subscription cost.

The Fitbit Ace LTE will be available at the Google Store and Amazon starting June 5th.

For more information and to pre-order, visit the Google Store or Amazon.
