Invoxia GPS Tracker Pro Gains Ability to Aid Vehicle Recovery in Case of Theft

Invoxia, a leading global GPS tracker company, has introduced an innovative feature to its GPS Tracker Pro, aiming to reduce recovery time in cases of vehicle theft. The new feature, called the Theft File, provides a detailed document containing crucial information to aid in the recovery process.

In 2022, over 1 million vehicles were stolen in the U.S., costing approximately $8 billion according to an NHTSA report. While GPS trackers do not guarantee protection from theft, they significantly enhance the chances of recovering a stolen vehicle or personal item. Invoxia’s new Theft File feature aims to further improve this recovery process.

The Theft File is a comprehensive document that includes essential details about the stolen property, such as the vehicle’s license plate, owner information, the last recorded location of the tracker, tracker ID, and installation date. Additionally, it features a QR code that allows any third party in possession of the document to access the real-time location of the stolen property.

How does the Theft File work?

When a user discovers a theft, they can instantly generate a Theft File via the Invoxia GPS application. This file is securely stored in the Invoxia cloud and can be easily shared with relevant authorities or insurers.

Two key uses of the Theft File

  • Police Assistance: By sharing the Theft File with law enforcement, Invoxia customers can quickly provide crucial information about the location of the stolen property, prompting more efficient and reactive police intervention. Unlike traditional theft reports, where location information becomes inaccessible after victims leave the scene, the QR code allows immediate access to real-time data, improving law enforcement responsiveness.
  • Facilitation of Insurance Procedures: The Theft File is a valuable tool when dealing with insurance companies. It helps demonstrate the reality of the theft and simplifies the claims process. Filing a police report remains a mandatory step in these situations.

ā€œThis new feature addresses a growing demand from our customers and insurance companies. Many insurers already request this information on a case-by-case basis. With the Theft File, we offer a standardized and effective solution to help our customers deal with thefts and take proactive action in recovering their vehicles,ā€ explained ClĆ©ment Moreau, CEO of Invoxia. ā€œIn the U.S. in 2022, if a vehicle was reported stolen within the first 24 hours, passenger vehicles had a 34% chance of same-day recovery. With theft file information and real-time location, we could further improve the recovery rate.ā€

An Additional Service for Connected Security

This new feature complements Invoxia’s existing solutions for vehicle recovery. The Invoxia GPS Tracker Pro, equipped with embedded AI on the 4G LTE-M network, provides precise vehicle location. Lightweight and discreet, this tracker can easily fit into a vehicle and allows users to monitor its movements via a smartphone app. Users are alerted in case of tampering or suspicious movements and can set up security zones to receive notifications if the vehicle exits these zones.

Availability

The Theft File feature is available on the Invoxia iOS and Android applications. The GPS Tracker Pro is available for purchase from Invoxia.com at $129, which includes a year’s subscription for all features, including geofencing, real-time tracking, location alerts, and more.
