Google Play is enhancing its Play Points rewards program with a range of new features and perks, aimed at offering more exciting experiences for its users. Since its launch in 2018, Google Play Points has garnered over 220 million members who earn rewards through their engagement with apps, games, and digital content on the platform. Aurash Mahbod, General Manager of Games at Google Play, announced these updates, highlighting the program’s evolution to better connect users with experiences they will enjoy.
One of the key additions is Diamond Valley, a treasure hunt mini-game that will be available in the U.S. starting June 17. Already popular in Korea and Japan, Diamond Valley allows players to search for diamonds and win prizes such as Pixel devices, exclusive game merchandise, points bonuses, and more. To get a head start, users can pre-register today. The first 50,000 Diamond and Platinum members to pre-register will receive an exclusive Diamond Valley t-shirt. Pre-registration and gameplay can be accessed via the Perks tab in the Play Points section of the Google Play Store.
Additionally, top-tier members (Diamond, Platinum, and Gold) will gain early access to new games. Starting today, these members can enjoy exclusive early access to Squad Busters, a highly anticipated mobile game. By visiting the Perks tab, members can build their squads and stay tuned for more exclusive rewards related to the game.
VIP experiences are also on the horizon for Google Play Points members. This summer, Google Play is partnering with major gaming and entertainment events to provide exclusive VIP experiences. More information will be available soon in the Google Play Store, so members are encouraged to check back regularly and prepare for a summer full of exciting opportunities.
