Gadhouse Revives Analog Audio With Wesley Wired Headphones

Gadhouse Revives Analog Audio With Wesley Wired Headphones

Gadhouse is doubling down on the renewed appetite for analog audio with the launch of its Wesley Wired On-Ear Headphones, a retro-styled model designed to combine the character of classic listening with the convenience expected from modern consumers.

The London-based audio lifestyle brand says Wesley is part of its broader effort to support the growing community of listeners returning to physical music formats, including cassette tapes and wired headphones. The headphones are priced at $69.99 in the US and £50.62 in the UK through Amazon and Amazon UK.

Wesley Brings an ’80s Look to Modern Wired Audio

Gadhouse designed the Wesley headphones around the aesthetic of classic cassette players and the broader visual culture of the 1980s.

Rather than relying on wireless connectivity, Wesley uses a traditional wired connection. The approach eliminates the need to recharge the headphones, maintain a Bluetooth connection or worry about battery life.

The headphones feature 40mm dynamic drivers designed to deliver detailed sound across a 20Hz–20kHz frequency range. Gadhouse says the drivers are capable of supporting 48kHz lossless audio clarity, with the design aimed at producing pronounced bass and clear high frequencies.

The retro appearance is paired with a lightweight construction weighing approximately 105 grams. A PU leather and stainless-steel headband is intended to provide a comfortable fit during extended listening sessions.

Designed for Everyday Listening and Creative Work

Although the Wesley’s appearance draws heavily from vintage audio equipment, its functionality is aimed at contemporary users.

Students, commuters, remote workers, gamers and music enthusiasts can connect the headphones directly to compatible devices. An integrated omnidirectional microphone supports voice calls, online meetings and gaming communication.

An in-line control button provides convenient access to functions such as play, pause and track navigation without requiring users to handle their connected device.

Gadhouse also includes adapters designed to broaden the headphones’ compatibility. The package contains a USB-C-to-3.5mm adapter as well as a 6.35mm adapter, allowing Wesley to work with a range of computers, mobile devices, tablets, mixers and other audio equipment.

A Wired Alternative in a Wireless-Dominated Market

The Wesley launch comes at a time when wireless headphones and earbuds dominate much of the consumer audio market.

Gadhouse is taking a different approach by emphasizing the straightforward nature of a wired connection. Users simply connect the headphones and begin listening, without pairing procedures, charging cycles or wireless connectivity requirements.

That simplicity could appeal particularly to listeners who enjoy the ritual and physical interaction associated with older audio formats.

The product also fits into a larger cultural movement in which younger consumers are rediscovering older technologies not necessarily because they are more convenient, but because they offer a different relationship with music.

Gadhouse Expands Its Retro Audio Ecosystem

Wesley is not Gadhouse’s only product aimed at the renewed analog market.

The company has also introduced the Miko Cassette Player, a portable cassette-focused device that combines vintage-inspired design with selected modern features. The player incorporates Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, recording functionality and a translucent appearance influenced by cassette players from the 1985–1995 period.

Gadhouse is offering the Miko and Wesley together as a bundle for consumers looking for a complete retro-inspired listening setup.

Miko and Wesley Create a Retro-Modern Listening Setup

The combination of the Miko cassette player and Wesley headphones illustrates Gadhouse’s approach to analog audio. Instead of simply reproducing old technology, the company is attempting to combine vintage aesthetics and physical media with features designed for contemporary users.

The Miko can serve as the cassette component of the setup, while Wesley provides a dedicated wired listening option. Together, the products target consumers attracted to both the nostalgia and creative possibilities of cassette culture.

For longtime analog enthusiasts, the products offer a modern interpretation of familiar equipment. For younger listeners encountering cassette technology for the first time, they provide an accessible entry point into the format.

Gadhouse Says Authenticity Is Driving the Revival

Gadhouse views the renewed interest in analog audio as more than a temporary nostalgia trend.

According to the company, consumers are increasingly attracted to the simplicity and physical nature of older audio formats. Unlike streaming, where music exists primarily as digital files accessed through a subscription or online service, physical formats allow listeners to own, collect and interact with their music.

Gadhouse says Wesley was developed around this desire for a more tangible listening experience while retaining the performance and usability expected from a contemporary headphone.
