Doogee Launches V40 Series with a Massive 8680 Battery

Doogee, a rugged smartphone manufacturer, has unveiled its latest V40 series rugged smartphones. The series consists of V40 and V40 Pro models. Both phones feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset based on 4nm architecture paired with four Arm Cortex-A78 cores, four Arm Cortex-A55 cores, and an Arm Mali-G615 GPU for handling multitasking and gaming-related things.

The Doogee V40 and V40 Pro come with a 6.78-inch IPS LCD display with a 2.4k resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The V40 smartphone has a 1.47-inch secondary display on the backside, which shows essential information like time, date, notifications, battery status, and different watch faces.

Doogee also packs some AI features into the latest V40 series, namely AI call recording and AI text assistant. As far as lenses are concerned, the V40 Pro boasts a quad rear camera setup consisting of a 200MP primary camera, a 20MP night vision camera, an 8MP long-focus camera, and an 8MP ultrawide shooter. On the other hand, the vanilla variant also features a quad camera setup: a 108MP main camera complemented by a 20MP night vision camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 0.08MP unknown sensor.

Both devices feature a massive 8680 battery with 33W fast charging support. They run on Android 14, which is based on Doogee OS 4.0. According to the manufacturer, the V40 series smartphones are designed with rugged durability in mind, featuring a MIL-STD-810H build that withstands tough environments.

You can buy the Doogee V40 Pro in the US via Doogee’s official website for $599, while the vanilla variant is available for $499.
