Following a high-profile reveal during the IGN post-show at The Game Awards 2025, the company has unveiled a new limited-edition collaboration, a retro-inspired aesthetic, and exclusive bonuses for early adopters ahead of the hardware’s Spring 2026 shipping window.
The Nitro Deck 2, designed as a successor to the critically acclaimed original, is engineered to provide enhanced comfort and functionality for the next generation of handheld gaming. In response to overwhelming community engagement since the initial announcement, CRKD is introducing these new variants to reward loyal fans and collectors.
Exclusive Collaboration with Limited Run Games
CRKD partnered with Limited Run Games to launch the Fusion Limited Edition. This exclusive model features a striking half-and-half split design, utilizing the popular Glacier Blue and Atomic Purple colorways from the original Nitro Deck series.
The Fusion Limited Edition will be available for purchase exclusively through Limited Run Games and the official CRKD website. The pre-order window for this collectible unit is scheduled to close on March 29, 2026, after which the design will be vaulted and removed from production.
A Tribute to Retro Gaming: The Pal Grey Edition
Responding directly to community feedback requesting a classic aesthetic, CRKD has added the Pal Grey Edition to the Nitro Deck 2 lineup. This model blends modern ergonomic engineering with a retro-chic palette inspired by gaming’s golden age.
In addition to this release, CRKD is also launching specialized accessories, including the Pal Stick Top 8 Pack and the Pal D-Pad 4 Pack (sold separately). These modular components are designed to allow players to further customize the tactile feel and visual style of their hardware.
Enhanced Pre-Order Incentives
In appreciation of the early support from the gaming community, CRKD has announced that all pre-orders for the Nitro Deck 2 will now include what it calls a Pre-Order Bonus Bonanza. Regardless of the specific edition purchased, customers will receive:
