Cleer Audio has officially announced the launch of the ARC 5 True Wireless Open-Ear Earbuds, marking a significant advancement in the brand’s wearable audio portfolio. The new flagship model integrates high-fidelity spatial technologies with a redesigned ergonomic chassis, aiming to provide a cinematic listening experience without isolating the user from their environment.
Advanced Acoustic Engineering and Spatial Integration
The ARC 5 is distinguished by its dual-tier audio validation, featuring both THX Headphone Certification and Dolby Atmos® optimization. By leveraging THX Spatial Audio and integrated head-tracking technology, the earbuds dynamically adjust the soundstage based on the wearer’s movements. This creates a three-dimensional environment intended for immersive gaming, film, and music consumption.
Under the hood, the device utilizes the Qualcomm® Snapdragon Sound platform with aptX Lossless technology. This ensures high-resolution, low-latency wireless transmission, maintaining audio integrity that meets the Hi-Res Audio standard (65Hz–40kHz).
Redesigned Ergonomics and Durability
Responding to user feedback from the previous ARC 3 generation, Cleer Audio has implemented several structural refinements to the ARC 5:
- Reduced Form Factor: The ear-hooks have been thinned to minimize temporal pressure.
- Weight Reduction: Each earbud now weighs 11.5 grams, making them lighter than their predecessors.
- Acoustic Positioning: A modified internal structure optimizes driver placement to enhance sound projection and clarity while maintaining an open-ear design.
The earbuds carry an IPX7 waterproof rating, making them suitable for high-intensity athletics and various weather conditions.
Interactive Smart Case and Connectivity
The ARC 5 introduces an upgraded Smart Case equipped with an AMOLED HD touchscreen. This interface allows users to manage playback, adjust EQ settings, and monitor battery levels without accessing a mobile device. Notably, the case includes a UV-C sterilization function to maintain earbud hygiene.

For connectivity, the system utilizes Bluetooth 5.4 with multi-point support, allowing for seamless switching between two active devices. The battery architecture supports up to 60 hours of total playback, with a quick-charge feature providing two hours of use from a five-minute charge.
Leadership Insights and Market Availability
“The ARC 5 signifies a substantial advancement in open-ear sound technology,” stated Hideaki Yamaguchi, CEO of Cleer Audio Americas. “By combining THX Certification with improved ergonomics and a touchscreen interface, we have developed a product that balances professional-grade sound with all-day comfort.”
The innovation behind the ARC 5 has already earned international recognition, securing both the Red Dot Design Award 2025 and the Good Design Award 2025.
Pricing and Availability
The ARC 5 is available in Black and White finishes with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $219.99 USD. Consumers can purchase the units directly through the official Cleer Audio website or via authorized national retailers.
