CHERRY XTRFY Debuts MX 10.1 Wireless Gaming Keyboard

CHERRY, the German brand long associated with premium mechanical switches and high-performance peripherals, has introduced its latest gaming keyboard: the CHERRY XTRFY MX 10.1 Wireless. This new full-size, low-profile model blends speed, durability, and flexibility in a sleek aluminum frame, with a retail price of $249 USD.

Built for Speed and Precision

At the core of the MX 10.1 Wireless are CHERRY MX LOW PROFILE 2.0 switches, engineered for a faster and smoother typing feel. These switches, pre-lubricated for improved acoustics, boast a lifespan of over 100 million keystrokes without loss of responsiveness. Combined with an 8000 Hz polling rate in wired mode and 4000 Hz in wireless, the keyboard is designed to keep pace with competitive gaming demands by reporting input up to eight times every millisecond.

Durable PBT keycaps round out the build, while the aluminum chassis ensures long-lasting stability and a premium feel. Despite its slim profile, the MX 10.1 maintains a full 100% layout, appealing to users who want compact aesthetics without sacrificing dedicated keys.

Connectivity on Multiple Fronts

Flexibility is a major highlight here. The keyboard supports three connection options: 2.4 GHz wireless via dongle, Bluetooth (with support for up to three devices), and a USB-C wired connection. A built-in rotary knob, paired with a compact LCD display, makes switching between devices seamless, a handy touch for those juggling between gaming rigs, laptops, or workstations.

Onboard Display and Controls

The MX 10.1 Wireless integrates a small display and multifunction knob for real-time adjustments. Users can tweak RGB lighting, manage media playback, check battery status, and monitor typing speed without digging into software menus. The setup supports three user profiles, letting players or professionals switch between customized layouts on the fly.

Power That Lasts

A 4,000 mAh battery powers the keyboard, with performance tailored to usage mode: up to 900 hours when connected via Bluetooth, or around 50 hours on 2.4 GHz wireless at the high-speed 4000 Hz polling rate. RGB lighting and display use can impact battery life, but CHERRY designed the system to balance performance with endurance.

Availability

The CHERRY XTRFY MX 10.1 Wireless is available starting September 25, 2025, priced at $249 on Amazon. More details can be found on the official website.
