Chargeasap’s latest creation, the Connect Pro, has just passed the $200,000 mark on Kickstarter with a week still left on the clock. This magnetic cable is making waves as the first to feature a built-in power reader. It not only displays real-time power output on an LED screen but also supports both 100W USB-C Power Delivery and 27W Apple Fast Charge.
Are you tired of a drawer full of tangled cables? The Connect Pro has you covered. It works with USB-C, Apple Lightning, and Micro USB, making it a one-cable-fits-all solution for your devices. No more carrying multiple cables—this one does the job for phones, tablets, laptops, and even your GoPro or drone.
Launched on June 25th, the Connect Pro is currently available with up to 69% off through Super Early Bird and Early Bird rewards, starting at just $19. Each set comes with a 1.2-meter cable and your choice of tip in black or gunmetal.
The Connect Pro ‘s 100W Power Delivery lets you fast-charge high-power devices like the MacBook Pro 16″, matching the speed of the original Apple USB-C cable. For iPhone users, it supports 27W Apple Fast Charging for the iPhone 14 series. That’s fast enough to fill up an iPhone 14 Pro Max in about 1.5 hours, overcoming limitations that other magnetic cables couldn’t handle.
With N52 grade neodymium magnets, the Connect Pro offers a strong magnetic connection capable of holding up to 1.1 kg. The cable is built to last with an anti-fray neck and a locking mechanism that makes sure it stays put. It even has an LED light indicator that turns green when your device is charging, so you’ll never have to wonder if your phone is juicing up in the middle of the night.
The Kickstarter rewards range from single cables at discounted prices to bundles with extra accessories. Each Connect Pro comes with a 15-year guarantee, demonstrating Chargeasap’s commitment to quality.

Our Impressions
We’ve had one of these cables in the office for a few weeks now, giving it the old “college try” with various devices. Here’s what we’ve found thus far.

We’re impressed with this cable’s flexibility and performance. It charges quickly and efficiently, and the ability to monitor charging speeds is a handy feature. The braided design feels strong and durable, suggesting it will hold up well over time. The cable’s resistance to tangling is a plus, and if it does get tangled, it unwraps easily.
Its length is just right for tucking into a bag, like a crossbody sling or pouch. Moreover, its versatility makes it the kind of cable we have around for any and all device contingencies.
It’s worth noting that we did find it a bit tricky to remove the adapter from the cable at first. The magnet holding the attachment to the cable wasn’t quite as strong as we’d have liked, which made us a little concerned about losing the pieces.
This might vary with different devices, and hopefully, any minor issues will be refined in the final product. With that said, be careful when taking your adapter off as it could actually be in your handset. We found the USB-C adapter was stuck inside of our phone when out travelling. It was a little tricky removing it and then making sure we didn’t lose it by the time we got back to the office.

In reading up on the crowdfunding campaign it seems that this is all by design as Chargeasap demonstrates inserting the tip into the phone and leaving it there. By doing that, however, it means you’ll not be able to plug any other cables in while the adapter’s in your phone.
If you have a laptop with multiple USB-C ports, this is a pretty compelling option. Leave one of the tips in there and you’ve got a magnetic cable that attaches and detaches without effort.
Otherwise, we like the concept at play here, and the fast charging speeds (27W for Apple, 100W for UCB-C, and 12W for microUSB) make it a great cable to have around with any portable charger.
