BOOX Launches Note Max with Carta 1300 E Ink Display

BOOX has recently introduced the Note Max, a new addition to its Note series, designed for professionals and creatives seeking both performance and style. The device features a sleek, ultra-thin 4.6mm profile and a large 13.3’’ monochrome E Ink display. The Note Max is available for $649.99/€699.99/£649.99 from BOOX (US), BOOX (EU) Amazon (US) and Amazon (UK).

The Note Max uses the Carta 1300 E Ink display, which offers sharper, more defined black-and-white text compared to the previous Carta 1200 technology. This next-generation ePaper technology is designed to mimic the appearance of ink on paper, reducing eye strain and providing a more comfortable, immersive reading experience. The 300 PPI ePaper display and elimination of the front light further help reduce eye strain.

The device’s A4-sized screen provides plenty of space for viewing PDFs, taking notes, and sketching ideas, while its split-screen functionality allows for seamless multitasking. The Note Max is powered by a 2.8GHz octa-core processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM and BOOX Super Refresh (BSR) technology, allowing for smooth, lag-free multitasking. It operates on the Android Operating System, enabling users to download a variety of apps from the Google Play Store.

An optional keyboard cover can transform the Note Max into a productivity device, offering a comfortable typing experience for drafting documents, writing notes, and brainstorming. Overall, with its advanced E Ink technology, robust performance, and versatile features, the Note Max is a solid choice for those seeking a reliable, high-performing device.
