Aqara is expanding its smart home ecosystem with a new collection of connected lighting products and the introduction of Aqara Builder, a community platform designed for smart space enthusiasts and creators.
The announcements were made at IFA 2026 in Berlin, where Aqara is demonstrating how its latest lighting products can work together with sensors, switches, hubs and its Home app to create automated environments that respond to people’s routines and surroundings.
The new lighting portfolio covers both indoor and outdoor applications, with products designed to integrate into Aqara’s broader vision of AI-powered spatial intelligence.
Aqara Expands Smart Lighting Across the Home
The new range includes the Floor Lamp T1, LED Downlight T2, LED Strip T2, Outdoor String Lights H1 and Permanent Outdoor Lights H1.

The products support both Thread and Zigbee connectivity and are Matter-enabled. They are also designed to work with major smart home platforms, including Apple Home, Home Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings and Homey.
When paired with Aqara’s sensors, switches and Home app, the lights can respond to movement, presence, schedules and other automated triggers instead of requiring users to operate them manually.
Floor Lamp T1 Creates Ambient Lighting Effects
The Aqara Floor Lamp T1 stands 1,420mm tall and uses side-emitting illumination to spread light across nearby walls, making it suitable for movie nights, gaming sessions or everyday ambient lighting.
Its lighting system uses a 16-bit, five-channel chip controlling 18 individually adjustable zones. The lamp offers a tunable white range from 2,000K to 9,000K and brightness of up to 1,000 lumens.
The lamp can also work with Aqara sensors and switches to automatically adjust lighting according to activities and changing conditions.
LED Downlight T2 Designed for Low Ceilings
The LED Downlight T2 is designed for homes where ceiling space is limited. Its slim profile makes it suitable for low ceilings and retrofit installations.
Customers can choose between an RGB CCT version, offering 16 million colors and a 2,000K–9,000K color-temperature range, or a CCT model focused on everyday illumination with brightness reaching up to 1,200 lumens.
The downlight also includes power-off memory, allowing it to restore its previous lighting state following a power interruption.
LED Strip T2 Adds Flexible Accent Lighting
Aqara’s LED Strip T2 is designed to provide flexible lighting for locations such as cabinets, shelves and corners.
The strip incorporates 108 LEDs per meter, along with a 16-bit, five-channel chip and 18 individually controllable zones across every three meters. These features enable smoother color transitions and lighting effects that can respond to music.
Users can also use natural-language descriptions within the Aqara Home app to create coordinated lighting scenes without manually configuring every setting.
Outdoor String Lights H1 Extend Smart Lighting Outside
The Outdoor String Lights H1 brings Aqara’s connected lighting approach to patios, decks and other outdoor areas.
Its individually controllable lighting zones support a color-temperature range of 2,000K to 9,000K, allowing users to create different lighting atmospheres for relaxation and outdoor activities.
The lights can automatically react to schedules, environmental conditions or signals from other Aqara devices. Through Aqara’s AI-powered Gen-Scene feature, users can describe the atmosphere they want and generate a coordinated lighting scene.
Permanent Outdoor Lights H1 Eliminate Seasonal Installation
For homeowners looking for year-round exterior lighting, the Permanent Outdoor Lights H1 is designed to remain installed throughout the year.
The system eliminates the need to repeatedly install and remove decorative lights for holidays or special occasions. It features independently controlled LEDs and one-tap presets for different events.
The lighting system can also be extended and cut to fit different rooflines while offering weather-resistant construction for outdoor use.
Aqara Creates a Real Smart Home Experience at IFA
Rather than displaying the new lighting products individually, Aqara has constructed a real-world living environment at its IFA booth.
Visitors can experience scenarios in which lighting responds automatically to movement, presence, routines and environmental triggers. The demonstration shows how the company’s lighting products can interact with sensors, switches and hubs to create coordinated experiences throughout a home.
Aqara Builder Connects Smart Home Creators
Alongside its hardware announcements, Aqara is introducing Aqara Builder, a global community platform aimed at smart home enthusiasts, developers, installers, integrators and creators.
Aqara says AI-assisted support will also be available, allowing users to interact with an AI agent and explore ideas for creating personalized intelligent scenarios.
