Aer Introduces the Gym Tote 2

Aer, the San Francisco-based brand known for clean design and functional travel gear, has launched the Gym Tote 2, an updated version of its award-winning everyday tote. Built for people who bounce between the office, the gym, and everything in between, the new model introduces refinements that make it more versatile, durable, and travel-friendly.

Designed for Workouts and Workdays

The Gym Tote 2 keeps the features that made the original popular, like a ventilated shoe compartment and an interior water bottle pocket, while layering in upgrades for today’s hybrid routines. The bag now offers a padded laptop pocket that supports devices up to 16 inches (up from 13), making it easier to slip in a work machine without cramming it next to your gym shoes.

Aer has also added a redesigned interior with slip pockets, a discreet smart-tracker pocket, and a wider opening that makes packing less of a juggling act. A bump in capacity from 19.4 to 22 liters provides more breathing room without adding bulk, keeping the tote’s weight at a slim two pounds.

Materials and Durability

Durability remains a core part of Aer’s identity, and the Gym Tote 2 carries forward that philosophy with 680D CORDURA ballistic nylon on the outside and a lightweight ripstop nylon interior. Both fabrics are bluesign approved, signaling a more sustainable approach to construction. Premium YKK zippers and Duraflex hardware round out the build, reinforcing the bag for years of daily use.

Travel-Friendly Features

For those who see airports as often as treadmills, the Gym Tote 2 now integrates a luggage pass-through to slide onto roller bags. Combined with its balanced proportions and clean profile, the bag shifts seamlessly from commuter train to terminal to gym bench without looking out of place.

Style Options

A new color lineup (Black, Navy, Olive, and X-Pac Black) offers a choice for minimalists and statement-makers alike. Each version keeps to Aer’s understated aesthetic, making the tote appropriate for both business settings and casual weekends.

The Bigger Picture

Andy Choi, Aer’s Head of Operations, said the Gym Tote 2 is all about evolution: “We’ve kept the signature design that separates your gear, while adding subtle yet powerful refinements that make the bag more versatile, more polished, and even better suited for everyday life.”

The Gym Tote 2’s hybrid identity makes it a rare breed. It’s one part gym companion, one part laptop hauler, and one part travel partner, rolled into a single, minimalist design. For those tired of juggling multiple bags or stuffing a change of shoes into a work tote, it could be a straightforward solution.

Availability

The Gym Tote 2 is now available for $129. It can be purchased through Aer’s website, Aer retail stores in San Francisco, New York City, and London, and from select global retail partners.

More details and additional images can be found at Aer’s official website.
