A new Infinix GT 20 Pro is here, redefining the gaming experience with a striking design

Infinix has introduced a second-generation gaming smartphone in the GT series – the GT 20 Pro. Infinix’s GT series smartphones are purely dedicated to those who want solid performance, immersive display, and longer battery life at an affordable price range. The successor to last year’s GT 10 Pro comes with impressive hardware, dedicated gaming features, improved battery life,  and premium-quality display tech, making the GT 20 Pro an absolute gaming beast.

The GT 20 Pro is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset based on 4nm architecture. It Packs up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone runs on Android 14 based on XOS 14 (Infinix’s heavily customized UI) out of the box. Infinix also promised to offer a clean and bloatware-free pure OS experience. You will get two major Android updates (up to Android 16) and three years of security patches in the GT 20 Pro.

The Dimensity 8200 Ultimate is a fully customized chipset specifically designed for the GT 20 Pro, said Infinix. The chipset efficiently handles all high-fps and heavy graphics games like PUBG Mobile, Genshin Impact, and COD and ensures esports-level solid gaming performance.

The GT series are entirely gaming-focused smartphones and the GT 20 Pro is no exception. Infinix packs dozens of gaming features in the GT 20 Pro that take your gaming experience to the next level. There is a new “Esports Mode” which Infinix introduced in the GT 20 Pro smartphone that boosts overall gaming performance and lets you enjoy gaming without any distractions. Infinix upgraded its cooling system with 73% larger VC liquid cooling and 68% larger graphite sheet to keep the device cool under heavy gaming sessions.

Another notable change is the display which is now fully bezeless, and looks brighter and more stunning than the GT 10 Pro’s display. The GT 20 Pro features a 6.78-inch FHD+ (2436 x 1080px) AMOLED panel with support for whooping 144Hz refresh rate that elevates visuals and smoothens the overall scrolling experience. For the first time, Infinix incorporated a dedicated gaming display chip in the GT 20 Pro smartphone that boosts the frame rates of games to as high as 120fps and delivers extreme smoothness and high-quality gaming experience.

There are no major changes in the overall design, the GT 20 Pro also comes with the same cyber mecha design but with RGB mini LED lighting effect which is a new addition. The RGB lights sync with notifications, calls, and the rhythm of music played. You can customize the RGB light effects from given 8 color combos and 4 lighting effects.

Since the camera isn’t a main priority of gaming smartphones, it seems like Infinix doesn’t bring any substantial improvements in the camera setup. It retains the same camera features as its predecessor – on the rear you get a 108MP primary camera paired with a useless 2MP macro and depth sensor and a 32MP snapper on the front. A 5000mAh battery powers the entire system and supports 45W fast charging.

The Infinix GT 20 Pro is an official gaming phone for the PUBG Mobile Super League. “The smartphone is committed to empowering all gamers with essential tools for the ultimate gaming experience”, said Infinix.

Speaking about pricing, the GT 20 Pro retails at SAR 1,299 roughly $346. It is currently available in Saudi Arabia and will launch soon in other markets too.
