Vivo is expanding its mid-range V-series lineup with the launch of the latest Vivo V29e smartphone. The smartphone is now official in India and brings trendy features including a Curved AMOLED panel, a 50MP selfie camera, a Snapdragon chipset, and much more. Let’s take a look at the detailed specs, price, and availability of the Vivo 29e smartphone. 

Vivo V29e starts at Rs 26,999 ($327) for the base 8GB + 128GB storage variant while the high-end 8GB + 256GB variant costs Rs 28,999 ($350). It comes in Artistic Red and Artistic Blue color options. The smartphone is already up for pre-order through Vivo’s official website and the open sales will commence on September 7. 

Powering the Vivo V29e by Qualcomm snapdragon 695 chipsets coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage which is further expandable via the microSD card slot. It runs on Android 13 based on Funtouch OS 13 out of the box. The device houses a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging tech. 

For optics, the Vivo V29e has a dual rear camera setup at the back featuring a 64MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support. The main unit is paired with an 8MP wide-angle lens. On the front, there is a whopping 50MP camera for selfies and video chats. 

The smartphone comes with a dual-tone color-changing design glass back which Vivo called an Artistic design. Asus officially confirms to continue its Zenfone series production

The tech giant Asus’ well-known Zenfone series smartphones are quite popular for their compactness and high-performance delivery smartphone. Recently, the brand announced its latest iteration the Zenfone 10 in global markets and the smartphone is now up for pre-orders in the United States, this month. A new report that has surfaced online suggests that the ZenFone 10 device will mark the end of an era, which means that Asus will no longer be launching smartphones under the ZenFone series.

This report comes from Taiwanese Media, a report reveals that Asus is undergoing an “organizational restructuring” resulting in the brand shifting its employees to other departments such as the brand’s PC department and ROG Phone team across China and Taiwan, maybe, because of the Zenfone division shutdown. 

“The person familiar with the matter pointed out that ASUS mobile phones are divided into ROG and Zenfone series, but now the latest Zenfone 10 will be the last generation of this series, and the Zenfone team will be merged into other departments in the future, or directly into the ROG team.”

As above mentioned all rumors are completely false, Asus officially released a statement that clearly mentioned Asus isn’t shutting its Zenfone division. Furthermore, the brand says “We’ll continue our two main phone business product lines, the ROG Phone and the Zenfone”. Also, Asus hints that its upcoming Zenfone series smartphone is probably a Zenfone 11 scheduled for 2024.

Earlier this year, Vivo announced the Pad 2 tablet in China, and now the brand brings a slightly affordable version to the Vivo’s Pad series lineup. In terms of lenses, the Vivo Pad Air houses an 8MP single rear camera setup at the back, and on the front, it features a 5MP selfie camera. 

Vivo Pad Air sports a stunning 11.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a maximum 144Hz refresh rate, 1840 x 2800p resolution, and 540Hz instant touch sampling rate. The panel has P3 wide color gamut support that offers a vibrant and bright picture quality.
