Intel’s Thunderbolt 4 makes that pretty seamless for anything from dedicated GPUs to simply USB hubs. Anker has updated its series 7 docking station with the 778 Thunderbolt 4 dock.

Let’s start with the unspoken one. This isn’t explicitly advertised for Thunderbolt 4 because Anker has ensured it’s also backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and USB4 via the USB-C connection. And I may be crazy but it also seems to support DisplayLink with the appropriate drivers installed on a machine I know doesn’t support Thunderbolt.

The upstream Thunderbolt 4 connection to your laptop is capable of charging up to 100W and pushing fast charge 30W to the downstream USB-C connections. The ethernet port is a Gigabit variety on the Anker 778 as well.
It’s not without omission though. Let’s start with no microSD or 3.5mm ports. Both seem like a miss for those looking for full desktop replacements with laptops. These are commonly included in similar docks and might make shoppers think twice about the Anker 778.
Take note of the OS support
Windows users should be fine and can fully support all the specs the Anker 778 has to offer. This includes four 4K displays at 60Hz and one 6K display at 60Hz. You can also daisy chain up to six Thunderbolt devices with a single downstream TB port.
Mac users are more of a mixed bag. If you don’t have the older Intel models, or Pro/Ultra M1 and M2, I’d avoid the 778 docking station. Anker notes in the listing and docs that the standard M1 and M2 chips are not supported at all. It’s a hard miss for Apple’s most purchased models of the current generation of PCs, but at least Anker is upfront with it.
Another software mention is that I’ve been consistently getting a “too many USB hubs connected” when using the combination of my Aukey 10-port USB hub and AnkerWork webcam. The hub seems to work fine with any other peripheral attached to the 778 dock but as soon as I plug in the webcam I get an error.

There’s a ton of competition in the wireless headphones market these days. Soundcore entered this arena a few years back and continues challenging big names like Sony and Apple. Anker’s audio brand consistently puts out premium products that are much easier on the wallet. I’ve been testing the new Soundcore Space One headphones and enjoyed them.

Soundcore did a great job designing the Space One ANC headphones. These canned and banded devices can look bulky and cheap, but Soundcore avoided this trap. The Space One has fantastic curves, angles, and materials. The headphones are also comfortable. You get plenty of plush padding both on the headband and earcups.
Both outer cans of the Space One houses buttons and ports. The right is the busiest with the noise canceling control button, power, 3.5mm jack, and USB-C charging port. To the left, you have a play/pause button and volume rockers.
Inside the left earphone is another sensor that controls on-ear detection while using this Soundcore Space One. This is turned off by default and has to be calibrated in the Soundcore app. Once you set it up, your audio will pause each time you take the Space One off your head and resume when you place them back.
Sound
Listening to audio using the Soundcore Space One headphones has been fantastic. The rich beats coming from the cans punch well above the $99 price tag. The bass and mids are solid without drowning out the vocals.
It sounds like a little thing, but Anker has done a great job finding a balance with acoustics and bass on their entire lineup. The Space One continues this with ease. The active noise cancellation is also good. You can choose from different profiles allowing almost no interference to allowing surrounding noise through the playback.
Another interesting feature is Easy Chat. With it turned on, the Soundcore Space One will listen to you talking and allow conversation input to pass through the mic arrays. After you stop talking, the profile starts the active noise cancelation again. It’s a nifty addition that shows Anker is taking the modern workplace and commuter into account while designing the Space One.
Battery life
Endurance while using the Space One headphones is also really great. I’ve gotten upwards of 50 hours of playback with ANC turned off and over 40 hours with it on. This is enough for the casual user to enjoy these all week with a single charge.
Charging is done via the USB-C port and included cable. You can recharge the Soundcore Space one to one hundred percent in around two hours. That’s a significant amount of time, but with the amount of endurance you get on full battery banks, just five minutes of charge time can get you back four hours of playback.

Wearable manufacturer brand Tranya unveiled a new earbuds- the Tranya Nova Lite in the markets. Recently, Tranya announced its first Nova earbuds with a starting price of $99 and now the firm brings a more affordable version to the Nova lineup.
In comparison with the standard variant, the Nova Lite earbuds didn’t come with Qualcomm chip however the rest of the features and functions are identical to the original one. It’s really impressive, that Tranya still offers a wireless charging feature in its entry-level earbuds which is very rare to see in budget-conscious wearables.
Design-wise, the Nova Lite features a very identical design to the Nova (review) that looks quite premium and attractive. Tranya packs a 12mm dynamic sound driver that produces deeper bass and immersive sound. To enhance the overall listening experience, the Nova Lite features an intelligent active noise cancellation (ANC) which filters out background noise up to 40dB and ensures a noise-free sound experience. Alongside there are dual built-in microphones (on each bud) that offer an unparalleled calling experience even in noisy environments.
You can seamlessly switch between two devices thanks to the multipoint pairing support and the latest Bluetooth v5.3 connectivity lets you connect to devices instantly. The Nova Lite can be customizable via the Tranya Audio companion app that lets you customize the controls, EQ, and Bass and even allows you to create personal sound profiles.
As for battery, the Nova Lite earbuds last up to 8 hours, and with the case, the battery life extends up to 32 hours on a single charge. Other features include an IPX5 water resistance rating, ultra-low latency of up to 38ms for gaming, and customizable touch sensors.
