Xiaomi just unveiled the new Xiaomi 14T series to take on the Google Pixel 9

Xiaomi usually launches its T-series smartphones in the second half of the year, and this year is no different. Xiaomi announced its latest T-series smartphones, the Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro. Successor to last year’s Xiaomi 13T series comes with meaningful upgrades including large batteries, enhanced display, power-efficient processor, and much more. Looking at the spec sheet, it’s…. interesting.

Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro devices share some similar features. Both devices have a 6.67-inch OLED display (2,712 x 1,220) with a 144Hz refresh rate and 4000 nits peak brightness support, a large 5,000mAh battery cell with 67W wired (for base variant), 120W wired (for the 14T Pro), and 50W wireless (only for Pro model) fast charging support. Both phones ship with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top, protecting them from accidental falls and scratches.

Xiaomi also packs trendy AI features such as Google’s circle to search, AI film, AI Interpreter, AI notes, AI recorder, AI subtitles, AI notes, and more into Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro devices. Software-wise, both phones run on Android 14 based on Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS out of the box. Xiaomi promises four major OS Android updates (up to Android 18) and five years of security patches for the Xiaomi 14T series.

Xiaomi 14T Pro

The Xiaomi 14T Pro is powered by MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9300 Plus flagship chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB internal storage. Xiaomi packs 120W wired and 50W wireless charging into the 14T Pro. Xiaomi claims the device can charge 0 -100% in just 19 minutes.

For lenses, the 14T Pro phone houses a triple rear camera array consisting of a 50MP Light Fusion 900 primary lens, a 50MP 2.5x telephoto lens, and a 12MP Ultrawide shooter with 15mm f/2.2 ultrawide lens.

Xiaomi 14T

The vanilla variant ships with MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra processor coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Charging speed downgraded for the 14T model, it comes with 67W fast wired charging support. Unfortunately, there’s no wireless charging support for the base variant.

Speaking about cameras, you get a 50MP Sony IMX906 Main sensor which is complemented by a 50MP telephoto lens with dedicated 2x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide shooter. However, the phone lacks 8k video recording, which is slightly disappointing.

Pricing and Availability

The Xiaomi 14T starts at €649 for the base 12GB/256GB model. The smartphone comes in Lemon Green, Titan Blue, Titan Gray, and Titan Black color options.

The Xiaomi 14T Pro retails at €799 for the base 12GB/256GB model. It’ll be available in Titan Black, Titan Gray, and Titan Blue color options. Both smartphones are on sale now via Xiaomi’s official website and other authorized retailers.
