SwitchBot Showcases Smart Home 2.0 Vision With AI Robotics and New Devices at CES 2026

At CES 2026, SwitchBot outlined its Smart Home 2.0 roadmap, centered on embodied AI and a tightly unified ecosystem of devices. The company’s showcase focuses on systems that can sense, reason, and act across daily life, spanning household robotics, security, personal productivity, environmental awareness, and ambient computing.

Rather than framing smart home gear as isolated gadgets, SwitchBot positions its latest lineup as coordinated parts of a broader AI-driven platform. The approach leans on technologies the company has developed over time, including embodied AI models, multi-sensor perception, and on-device intelligence that works alongside cloud services when needed.

Embodied AI Takes Center Stage With onero H1

Leading the announcement is onero H1, an accessible household robot that reflects SwitchBot’s longer-term ambitions for embodied AI in the home. The robot is not built around a single task. It is designed as a multi-purpose system capable of adapting to a range of domestic scenarios that remain difficult to automate.

onero H1 is built around 22 degrees of freedom and an on-device OmniSense VLA model, combining visual perception, depth sensing, and tactile feedback. This allows the robot to better understand object shape, position, and interaction states. The practical outcome is improved reliability in contact-heavy actions such as grasping, pushing, opening, and organizing. The system is designed to learn over time and operate in coordination with SwitchBot’s existing task-focused robots, rather than replacing them.

SwitchBot says onero H1 and its A1 robotic arms will be available for pre-order on the company’s website, though pricing and a specific timeline were not shared.

Lock Vista Series Brings 3D Facial Recognition to Smart Deadbolts

Security plays a major role in the Smart Home 2.0 vision through the new SwitchBot Lock Vista Series. SwitchBot describes it as the world’s first deadbolt smart lock to use 3D structured-light facial recognition. The system projects more than 2,000 infrared points to build detailed 3D facial maps, supporting millimeter-level biometric accuracy and fast unlocking.

The facial recognition system works with common variables such as hats, glasses, or makeup, and includes 3D liveness detection designed to block spoofing attempts using photos or video. User data is stored locally rather than in the cloud.

Power reliability is handled through DualPower™ and DualBackup™ systems, pairing a rechargeable battery with a long-life backup cell and emergency power support. Matter-over-Wi-Fi connectivity allows direct, hub-free integration with Apple Home for remote access and voice control.

An expanded model, SwitchBot Lock Vista Pro, adds contactless palm-vein recognition. This option reads internal vascular patterns using near-infrared sensing, supporting secure access when hands are wet or dirty.

Comfort Tech Expands Beyond the Home

SwitchBot’s Comfort Tech lineup extends Smart Home 2.0 concepts into work, planning, and personal organization.

The SwitchBot AI MindClip debuts as a portable, voice-based AI assistant. Weighing 18 grams, it continuously captures meetings, conversations, and daily moments, then turns them into summaries, searchable records, and actionable to-do items. The device supports over 100 languages and functions as a personal knowledge base powered by a subscribed cloud AI service. SwitchBot frames it as a “second brain” for managing spoken information across work and everyday life.

Environmental awareness comes through the SwitchBot Weather Station, featuring a 7.5-inch E-Ink display. It consolidates indoor temperature, humidity, air quality, weather forecasts, sun data, calendars, and smart home scene triggers into a single interface. AI-powered daily weather briefings add context and recommendations tied to local conditions.

Rounding out the lineup is SwitchBot OBBOTO, an AI-powered desk pixel globe light with more than 2,900 RGB LEDs. With motion sensing, music visualization, pixel art, and mood-driven animations, OBBOTO blends ambient lighting with playful, glanceable information such as time and weather.

A Broader Smart Home 2.0 Ecosystem

Together, these announcements reinforce SwitchBot’s Smart Home 2.0 direction, where embodied AI links perception, reasoning, and action across devices. The company frames the ecosystem as one that supports daily routines without demanding constant attention.
