Segway has added a new model to its electric scooter lineup, introducing the compact and commuter-friendly E3 Pro. The company, recently named the global leader in electric kick-scooter sales with more than 13 million units sold, is positioning the E3 Pro as its most portable and affordable third-generation scooter yet.
For a limited time, the scooter is available at $599.99 (down from $699.99 MSRP) through Segway’s online store. A Sam’s Club exclusive version, the E3 Pro SE, adds a phone holder and combination cable lock, offered at member-only pricing.
Performance and Range
At the heart of the E3 Pro is an 800-watt motor capable of speeds up to 20 mph with a maximum range of 34 miles per charge. Segway’s SegRange™ optimization technology helps stretch battery life, while the scooter’s 18% slope angle rating makes it suitable for hilly commutes.

The E3 Pro weighs just 40.1 pounds thanks to a redesigned alloy frame, making it easier to carry onto public transit or up a flight of stairs. Despite its entry-level price, Segway has added front and rear elastomer suspension to smooth out rough pavement and give riders more confidence on longer trips.
Safety and Smart Features
Safety receives a noticeable upgrade in the E3 Pro. The scooter includes turn signals, a 4-watt headlight, brake light, and 256-color RGB underglow lighting for visibility. Riders benefit from SegRideâ„¢ stability enhancement, traction control, and a battery management system (BMS).
One of the more unexpected touches is Apple Find My integration, letting users track down their scooter if it’s misplaced or stolen. Paired with 10-inch self-sealing jelly tires and dual braking (front drum and rear electronic), the E3 Pro aims to keep both new and experienced riders secure on the road.

Design and Everyday Use
Segway describes the E3 Pro as its most approachable scooter to date, with a minimalist silhouette, clean lines, and signature red accents. The folding frame reduces to a compact footprint for easy storage, and a 3-inch onboard display provides quick access to ride information. With a payload capacity of 265 pounds and IPX5 water resistance, the scooter is designed for everyday urban use.
Availability
The Segway E3 Pro is available now for $599.99 at Segway’s online store, while the E3 Pro SE can be found exclusively through Sam’s Club. More details are available at Segway’s official website.
